Welcome to the Detroit Fish House Steak & Oyster Bar
We are a new seafood, steak and oyster bar located in Shelby Township, MI.

At the Detroit Fish House, we are committed to excellence in all that we do. Our seafood is all “top of the catch” and impeccably fresh and the wines are hand-selected from all over the world to complement our menu. The most important component though is, of course, our service. It is the mission of the Detroit Fish House to exceed our guests’ expectations for extraordinary food, beverages and guest service in a warm & welcoming facility. This will be accomplished through the relentless pursuit of excellence in all of our menu items, an unwavering commitment to exceptional guest service and our sincerest desire to treat everyone as if they were a guest in our own home.

On NYE, our group of four started with the impressively delicious seafood tower, a bounty of various shellfish! The lobster bisque was yummy, followed by the Wagu tomahawk steak for two, just as flavorful and tender as expected , and the delicious Sea Bass. Service was very good, especially for New Year's Eve, making the whole dining experience a pleasure.

Always delicious! Meeting & sitting with owner at the bar and conversing with her was fun! So nice to have met her, wonderful lady.

They weren't ready for our reservation when we arrived and luckily we had someone cancel otherwise they wouldnt have been able to fit us all at the table. The server was super slow and kept telling us she would be right back. We had to ask for everything in order to get it including refills of our water glassed. We got our meals almost 2 hours after we arrived even though we ordered our food within the first hour because the server was slow. We did complain to the manager especially once we got our bills because everything was upcharged. He seemed to be concerned but overall did nothing about it. We will not be back.

I ordered the Waygu Flatiron steak. It was cold, and not nearly as tender as Waygu should be. Everything else was excellent. Drinks, wine, dessert superb. I will, of course return, there are many other things I would like to try, especially the daily specials. Service was excellent.

The seafood never disappoints. we decided to go with many appetizers to taste everything. Started with oysters, yummy. Then lobster bisque and Boston Clam Chowder. Calamari was next , crab cakes and AHI Tuna. We finished with a creme brule and key lime pie. Everything was so good! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent food & service! The grilled salmon with glazed ginger sauce was amazing! Fantastic and friendly wait staff.

Had the crab stuffed shrimp, it took charbroiled to a whole new level. They did remake it once I informed waitstaff. Would have rather it just be taken off the bill, by the time it came out my husband was done eating . We had plans to do some Christmas shopping after dinner , but after being in there for two hours our night was over.

Had lunch for our 20th Anniversary. Food was awesome and had some items off the dinner menu. Our server Will was very attentive and took good care of us. Recommended.
