“Top Steakhouses in America” Maxim Magazine and Playboy, and featured in the Wall Street Journal, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse serves straightforward prime steaks with a New Orleans touch. Signature dishes and sides include: The House Filet (served with masa flash-fried Louisiana oysters), Tomato Blue Cheese Napoleon, Pontalba Potatoes, and a Roasted Sweet Potato with Creole Pecan Butter. The house favorite dessert is a toss up between the Coconut Cake with a chiffon buttercream and the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding—so go ahead and order both.

We had a great dinner and Elijah Wes great! My petit filet was a bit tough, but my wife’s was perfect. Would definitely recommend.

We come every new years eve and enjoyed every year. This year was no exception. The ribeye is delicious and the service phenomenal

Our server was higher than a kite. She was obnoxious, giggling, loud, couldn’t stand or pour drinks. She was wearing stretchy pants. A few other servers were wearing jeans. This was not a high class place. This was our least favorite meal we ate on a 10 day trip. We all wished we had went anywhere else!

Unfortunately, the dining experience did not meet our expectations. You can skip this restaurant. 2/3s of our steaks were not cooked to requested temperature. Medium was cooked medium rare and medium rare was cooked medium well. The meal came out 10 minutes after placing order. We are assuming these steaks are pre-cooked and then tossed onto a grill. Typically, you let steak rest before serving. Our waiter had only two tables. The other table was a large party. We waited many minutes to point out the discrepancies in temperature of preparation, while he stood in the bar waiting for drinks to be made for his other table, serve the drinks and then take the orders for the large parties. We eventually gave up waiting to gain his attention and a manager never stopped by to check on us, so we began to eat. The waiter eventually stopped by and we were told “you should have tracked me down and stopped me”. We asked him how that would have been possible as he was in the bar, had a tray full of drinks and then continued to take the orders of his other table. He said we should have interrupted him taking the orders. Regardless, a very expensive meal and that was less than acceptable for a fine dining steakhouse. The manger comped us two cocktails, which was probably $6 worth of alcohol to the restaurant’s bottom line. I have dined here in the past and was a repeat customer but will not consider as a dining option moving forward.

My family dined here for my son's 14th birthday. My husband ordered the sharable porterhouse and thought it was delicious. I had the tuna dish which was under seasoned but prepared properly. Just a generally underwhelming dish. The Caesar salads all came out on plates that were still warm from the oven and made the lettuce soft. Our server did try to be attentive but not very knowledgeable about the bar offers or dish recommendations.

If you are looking for a true steakhouse experience this is not it. My husband and I have been to many steakhouses across the country and sadly the quality of the meat was terrible and they were not seasoned properly . If you really want steak and you’re in New Orleans, you’re probably better off going to Ruth’s Chris. We wanted to try something with Cajun flair, but unfortunately, this just was not worth it.

We have dined at Dickie Brennan's frequently. This visit, was not the usual. Service was not at the same level as we have experienced in the past, and it seemed our waiter was not well trained. We spent 180.00 on a bottle of wine, and he could not pour without spilling a bit. Really disappointed. He needed more training.

Ive been going to DBs for many years. The food quality was not up to standards. It was always a stop when i came into town but will probably be a pass next time around.
