Step through the 1920’s into Diesel Bar & Eatery where the décor has evolved dramatically, bringing you one of Melbourne’s moodiest, contemporary bar and restaurant. Situated in the heart of Lt. Lonsdale Street, once known as the city’s notorious red-light district; a 19th-century enclave filled with brothels, opium dens and working-class homes. Little Lon’s residents have long since moved on, cottages and lane ways have been replaced by slick towers and office buildings. But beneath Ltl. Service was appalling, only 1-2 people working. I didn’t even get the food I ordered and it took so long to receive the other people’s food so I didn’t want to wait for them to make it. The drinks however were good but you have to wait a while to get any type of attention to order.

Music was ok. Very quiet for Saturday night. No DJ disappointed. Food had salmon with salad very plain for $38, next time please add something like sweet potato etc. To expensive. Thank you

Great place to have a few drinks with friends and some good food! ..Because it was my birthday I got two complimentary cocktails which was so lovely! It’s a bit more of a quiet bar at times but great atmosphere none the less. I will come here again ☺️

We went here for drinks and dancing. Drinks were not great at all. The place was dead even at 11pm. Then just as we and a few people started getting to the dance floor, they killed the music saying the DJ was done for the night at 11.45 pm. Not a place I would recommend.
