                                                                          I really wanted to like this place. I got the Po’ Boy with the blackened catch of the day. The sandwich was large but mostly filler. The fish was cut into small chunks and blackening seasoning was very salty and had too much celery seed. It was not enjoyable. I could only eat a 1/3 of it.

                                                                          Normally I give this restaurant two thumbs up or five stars. Last night was the first time I was disappointed with my meal, the service and the vibe. Probably just a “one off” - in between holidays etc. the waitress was more interested in doing shots at the bar and was not prepared to answer questions regarding the menu. Also of all things I’ve tried on the menu, last night I tried the butternut squash risotto- it was unappealing to look at, the flavor was okay but had almost no butternut spinach at all in it and minuscule pecan pieces-it really needs to be offered as a side dish. The shishito peppers were great, the chicken croissant good, Cesar salad was good but served in a “too small bowl” making it hard to eat without getting it on the table. The apple streudel dessert is not a streudel- it’s more a clunky puff pastry with little apple flavor. The cocktails were great! The bartenders stopped by to check on us and were helpful. I actually love this place and like I said- last night was the first time out of the multiple times I have gone that I was remotely unimpressed. My overall score for this restaurant is a 4.8 out of 5!

                                                                          We went in as a group of four, I ordered the pimento cheese in homemade chips. It had good flavor but the chips were overcooked and dark brown. The charcuterie board at $ 27 seemed overpriced. I ordered the prime rib melt, which had a good flavor. The other two guests with us both had salads that were coated in dressing. The salad itself was tasty but I'd order it with dressing on the side.

                                                                          Great food. Service was spot on. A must have is their caramel apple streudel, an exquisite dessert experience.

                                                                          Delicious Bloody Mary; the Sriracha and pineapple juice were a nice surprise. The huevos rancheros were disappointing and should probably be called something else since it was only one huevo and mostly tortilla chips with a few beans. My companions were all happy with their choices.

                                                                          This is best kept secret in Tampa. Food and cocktails are outstanding. Great place that provides a nice atmosphere indoors and out. The staff is friendly and it's a great place for brunch.
