We had a bday dinner for a friend. Our reservation was originally for 6. But we arrived at 715 and only waited about 20 minutes for a seat to become available. The ladies at the door were all really nice and attentive. They offered for us to check our coats and wait at the lounge area until the table was ready. The lounge area was beautiful. The seats were so soft! We ordered shots and took a few pictures and it was time to be seated. Our server was Kaylee. She was a 10 all across the board. Pleasant. Attentive. Engaged. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their server. Before going, we were told by a few different friends that they didn’t care too much for the food. However, it wasn’t our experience. We all loved our food. The serving size was just right. Not huge like some restaurants. But enough to be satisfied and maybe take a little home (if you ha appetizers). The one thing I would say needed a little extra was the bday song/celebration that they do for the bday person. It lacked energy and the fake cake and sparkles they come to the table with was very underwhelming. Not that we needed a Broadway show. But it wasn’t even worth capturing on video.

Our first visit was beyond our expectations… fabulous feel, decor and good/ service Our waiter MARLON WAS TERRIFIC AND VERY HELPFUL WITH MENU CHOICE THE RESTAURANT IS A WINNER. WE WILL BE BACK SOON

The place is beautiful and the food is delicious!! Music was great! Definitely a great place to celebrate your birthday or have an awesome date!

We celebrated a birthday. Service was great. Most of the food was good. The vegan Piccadilly was not great but the salmon and churros o was great. Excellent service. A bit looud on the music which we could not talk to each other. Overall a good experience. Not sure to designated as Puerto Rican or Dominican food? The name implies Puerto Rico but the food is more on the Dominican side.

Amazing! For a restaurant only opened for a couple weeks the service was amazing. Food was so delicious and so were the drinks!

Nice new restaurant with good food and beautiful views of Manhattan. Valet parking is $15, so park your car yourself.

Got off to a slow start. We were seated but almost 10 minutes passed before we were greeted by our sever. After that staff became very attentive and we were offered free drinks and apologies. That was a nice response and was very much appreciated.

My husband and I had an amazing experience at Don Coqui celebrating his birthday on Thursday 12/26. The service with our waiter Manny was amazing as he was very attentive and made recommendations. We highly recommend the restaurant!! Thank you for making the night memorable ❤️❤️

Service sucked, we waited forever to order, get our food and to pay. I understand it’s a new restaurant but they really need to get it together.
