Don’s Favorite Foods is a prix-fixe restaurant created by husband and wife team Chef Don Salamone and Kate Laurents in partnership with Sommelier Adam Galbraith.

Our menu changes monthly and highlights dishes Don grew up with as well as those he mastered though working at Michelin-starred restaurants across the country.

From Don: You may find gnocchi like my Ma used to make or Italian sausage modeled after my Godfather’s, Oreste “Ernie” Capone. You might find scallops still in their shells, Oregon pork in the style of Braciole, & popovers I learned to make from my mother-in-law, Terry, because she makes those every Christmas morning... beef tartare, sea urchin, caviar, etc too. These things are all my favorites.

We had an absolutely amazing first time at Don’s for Valentine's day. Everything was so delicious and prepared so well. The fresh truffle on the pasta was insane! Everyone was so nice! We already cannot wait to make it back and enjoy another dinner here again!

Another awesome meal at Don's. Great food, carefully prepared, and served with class and grace. Very thankful to have them as an option in Beaverton.

Don has a delicious vision that we enjoy thoroughly: great popovers, homemade pasta, fantastic steak (this Feb) and a midcentury fun vibe. This is destination dining, not a casual evening out.

What a delightful surprise to find this little gem tucked inside an unassuming storefront in Downtown Beaverton. Inside are six charming tables, an attentive chef and staff, and a delicious and sometimes surprising tasting menu. From a perfectly seared scallop to a delicious vegetarian "meatball," the meal was excellent and the staff were so nice. The 70's playlist added the perfect vibe to a relaxed but special meal. Loved that they have a "half glass" wine pairing option. At the end, the eggnog semifreddo with a gingerbread wafer cookie was the best dessert I've had in a long time. The pairing with the Godfather cocktail was inspired. I can't believe this lovely spot wasn't on my radar sooner!

We have never been to Don's before but were intrigued by the monthly menu offerings and we were absolutely blown away. We will definitely be back.

Unusual restaurant - intimate - seat about 20 people. Great food, wine pairing, cocktail... really enjoyed the experience. Great take...

This was our second time at Don's and they exceeded our already high expectations from our previous visit. We were there for the Feast of Seven Fishes menu, got a cocktail to start and did the 1/2 pour wine pairing. They batch their cocktails and it's the best Nigroni I've ever had. The menu was filled with familiar seafood dishes prepared in unique ways. Everything was perfect all around. It's rare to find a place that feels as special as Don's. It's our favorite restaurant in Portland, maybe anywhere.

Amazing aesthetic coherence, retro without being ironic. Every course was delicious, creative and new, yet somehow also familiar and old school. Truly unique experience.
