Situated within the Main Lodge at The Preserve Sporting Club & Resort, Double Barrel Steak offers both the public and overnight guests a rustic, inviting setting to enjoy modern American steakhouse-inspired cuisine. The seasonal menu is thoughtfully curated to provide an engaging and memorable dining experience. In homage to Rhode Island’s 'Ocean State' moniker, the restaurant features 'ocean steaks' such as swordfish, halibut, and tuna. Additionally, game dishes will appear seasonally, reflecting The Preserve’s outdoor spirit. For gentlemen, collared shirts are required, and no shorts or flip-flops are permitted. Double Barrel Steak is open to the public.

                                                We were very disappointed in the quality of the food in particular. Every dinner at our table had an issue with something. The bone marrow was minimal and overcooked, the swordfish overcooked, the New York strip, mostly fat and a very thin cut; the latter $59 for a piece of steak that would've been a nicer cut from Stop & Shop.

                                                Our server Crystal was great. The food was delicious. The horse drawn carriage ride was amazing. Thanks to our horses Jim & Max. Looking forward to going again.

                                                Ambience and server were wonderful. Unfortunately food took almost an hour to come out and the burgers were luke warm. The $38 deal was a good deal but the burgers were just ok. Our server was wonderful though.

                                                We had a great dining experience at the David Burke Steak Restaurant at Foxwoods and saw that there was another David Burke related location closer to our home in Portsmouth. We found this restaurant in Richmond at The Preserve off rt 138. We made our reservation for our first visit to this location. We were surprised and a bit confused when we came upon a guard shack with gates. The very friendly security person came out and ask us what and where we were going, I told him we have reservation at Double Barrell Steak for brunch... He welcomed us to the Preserve, explained a few things about the property and directed us to the restaurant. We were amazed at what we saw while slowly driving through the property and finally getting to our destination. We were directed to the second floor and greeted by the hostess who directed us to our table. Definitely a David Burke style of dining experience and décor!! Food choice was delicious and plentiful!! We spoke with both the property director and our waitress, both very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!!

                                                Ben (our server) was great. We were celebrating our 22nd anniversary and decided to go with the tomahawk steak for 2. It was cooked perfectly and the sides were amazing. We’ll certainly be back! A++ experience.

                                                We were the only diners there for the entire meal. It was good. Clothesline Bacon was excellent. Not thrilled with what seems to be the new norm of adding the gratuity to the bill.

                                                The location was great property was clean. When we entered the we greeted by polite staff and seated right away. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the cocktails and menu. We had shrimp cocktail they were cooked perfectly, we were shocked at how big they were, we ordered the tomahawk steak which was cooked to perfect medium and was so tender. We will return and recommend to our friends
