                                                                                                    When asked where I wanted to eat out for my 60th, I said Double Eagle, of course! Never ever disappointed, food was fabulous! Prefect day!!!

The food was perfect, the flavors, the way cooked, the menu everything was excellent. I will definitely be going back and I recommend 100%

                                                                                                    We had not eaten at Double Eagle in a few years and recently we heard from local friends here that their last dining experience was less than satisfactory so we were rather hesitant to go back there but all our trepidations were unfounded. The menu was just as varied as we remembered and the selections were all delicious. Our waiter Jaden was very attentive and made a lovely tableside caesar salad which really brough back all our fond memories of past dinners there.

                                                                                                    First time at Double Eagle, and it was quite the experience. Our waitress was very attentive and made our anniversary evening very special. She also took the time to explain the history behind Double Eagle and let us check out the haunted room!

                                                                                                    Don’t bother. Second time for dinner and disappointed again. Service is a 2 at best. There don’t seem to be experienced waiters. Ordered a martini and finally went to the bar to get it after more than 1/2 hour of waiting. Bartender was great but said she never got the order. I requested coffee 3x’s and finally got it about an hour into the meal. It was weak and not very hot. Ordered the wedge salad right away and that took about 1/2 hour. Mentioned we would share the salad but had to ask for an extra plate when it came. Weren’t sure if we should order the steak medium rare or medium, thank goodness we went medium but that was close to being over done. It was also a bit tough. Had the side potatoes and they were awful. They had no flavor and looked and tasted like they had been cooked that morning and sitting around waiting to be heated up. Told the waiter we were disappointed in the potatoes and coffee but it landed on deaf ears. We were disappointed in the steaks and service the first time too. So like I stated don’t bother.

                                                                                                    Just had dinner and it was amazing. The restaurant was very calm and not a lot of people but it was Saturday around 6 and most of the stores in Mesilla were closed. The wait staff was great! Essence was super friendly and helpful but also kept us entertained with a few ghost stories. We ordered the duck, the salmon and the chicken mesilla (there were 3 of us) and they were all delicious and we ended with the lemon cheesecake which was incredible! We asked if we could visit other areas and the gentlemen serving our water (Christian I believe) was kind enough to give us a tour and tell us the history of the restaurant, we didn't expect our evening would turn out to be an unforgettable and memorable experience. We definitely will be back!
