    We had a 6:30 PM reservation on Saturday and arrived early at 6:15 PM, as the restaurant’s policy states that reservations are canceled if guests are more than 10 minutes late. Upon arrival, the hostess informed us that, since we were early, we would be seated closer to our reservation time. We were told to wait at the bar, but as time passed, we noticed several parties who arrived after us being seated ahead of us. By 6:45 PM, no one had communicated an update or explanation. I approached the hostess podium to inquire about the delay, but before I could ask, the host interrupted, saying, “Give me a minute, please,” and walked off to seat another group. At 7:00 PM, the host spoke briefly with the bartender, who then offered my wife and me a complimentary drink. While we appreciated the gesture, I explained to the bartender that we were simply waiting to be seated, to which he responded that the host had instructed him to offer us the drinks. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. When the manager arrived, I attempted to share my concerns, but she explained that the restaurant was running behind because guests were still dining at their tables. Given the restaurant’s strict policies—charging $35 per person for cancellations and canceling reservations if guests are late—it’s frustrating that there are no repercussions when the establishment fails to honor its commitments. This lack of accountability is disappointing and does not align with the standards such policies imply.

    I took my son and his siblings here to celebrate a recent achievement and we were all so impressed with the service, the food, the cocktails, and the ambiance. The filet was out of this world melt in your mouth tender. We all agreed the macaroni and cheese was the best we’ve ever had! Wine list was superb. Our server was excellent and elevated our experience ever more. Highly recommend!!

    We went for an early dinner on Sunday night and despite it being relatively uncrowded, our service was super slow from beginning to end. Our shrimp scampi appetizer was delicious. We ordered a salad and pizza afterwards and a second round of drinks. 10-12 minutes went by and still no drinks. Our waiter was no where to be seen. Our pizza then came out about 20 minutes later - still no drinks and no salad. We had not seen our waiter so we asked the lady who delivered our pizza (with no plates) to please cancel our salad and drinks. We were ready to leave by that point and asked to close. We walked over to Jose for drinks and dessert and were glad we did so. We will not waste our time or money on Drake's again.

    Birthday Celebration #2 -We headed to Drake’s for the man’s second celebration of the weekend, marking our second visit there. The menu had changed a bit since our last time, but the ambiance remained fantastic. We continue to love the attentive service and live music. For appetizers, we ordered the shrimp cocktail and crab scampi. The shrimp (4) were massive, and the cocktail sauce was spot on. The crab claws (5) were absolutely delicious, and the accompanying sauce was so good I saved it to use on my mashed potatoes. For our entrées, I had the crab cake, and he chose the ribeye (medium well), and we shared a side of mashed potatoes. The crab cake was outstanding, with a perfectly crisp top layer and plenty of flavorful crab. The ribeye was cooked exactly how he likes it—tender, flavorful, and just juicy enough (though I would have preferred medium). Drinks-wise, I enjoyed three Bogart’s Gimlets and a shot of Don Julio Añejo, while he had three Manhattans, a shot of Michter’s, and we split a beer. The drinks were tasty, but neither of us felt tipsy—interpret that as you will regarding the pour strength. We did mention we were celebrating a birthday, but there were no special treats or mentions for us. We noticed other tables receiving birthday cakes, cotton candy, etc., so it seems you might have to request or pay for those. Not a big deal, but worth noting for anyone expecting a complimentary celebration gesture. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely return for the ambiance, live music, and excellent food. The total cost was $436, including the tip.

    It was nice the waiter was super sweet. Loved my Drink. Didn’t have to wait long for the food. All in all a nice experience!
