    Honestly best fish and chips we've had. The chips were crispy and fluffy the fish beautifully white with such a light batter, as for the onion rings WOW!!. Would recommend 100%

    The chips were perfect so deserve a five, the stk pie was full and not too bad, the fish in this instance wasnt the bees knees. Cod is our preferred fish with haddock down the list.

    Had fish and chips with mushy peas and gravy that was absolutely lovely. The service staff was friendly and the food came to us quickly. I would happily return.

    Food was good, not great. Service was average, at best. Very slow to take order and slow to serve. Overall okay but there are much better options in York.

    We had a lovely meal at Drakes. The fish and chips were tasty. My daughter had the spicy fish tacos, which she highly recommends. The staff were very friendly and kindly gave my son a complementary beer because it was his 21st. Would definitely visit again. Many thanks.

    I had a lovely gluten free lightly battered haddock, chips and mushy peas. The staff where lovely and very helpful. They are not a gluten free restaurant but take care to avoid cross contamination.

    Battered fish was perfect. Loved the fact that they do a senior sized meal especially with the option of with or without chips. Hate when all you can see is a huge pile of chips on plate. This was perfect

    Probably the best fish and chip restaurant in York. Nothing fancy but the food and service is very good at very reasonable prices and there is plenty to choose from. Best to book or you could be faced with a queue at peak times. The staff are pleasant and friendly and there is a service charge included when you get the bill so no need for tips as it goes to the staff.
