Too loud for conversation. I get that makes it seems popular but I won’t patronize you when I actually want to speak with my dinner companions.

Food was mediocre. Server never asked about a drink refill until after clearing some of dinner. Bread never offered. On and on-two apps, a salad, and two drinks for $100 before tip. No thanks.

Our first time at Draper’s in Fairfax and it was awesome! Had a family of 8, and everything was managed really well. Our server(s) were on point and very nice, and the food is outstanding. Highly recommend Draper’s, and we will definitely be back regularly.

This was our first visit. We loved the ambiance, the christmas decor. easy to park, a bonus in downtown fairfax. Our waiter was very nice, timely. my issue is that the steaks are very expensive. $48 for a 7oz filet. thats the minimum price for a steak. I only need a 4-5 oz filet or 8 oz ribeye. It would be nice to pay under $40 for a steak. once you add a drink, a salad, and a glass of wine with 2 steaks you are going to be in for $170 for a meal for 2. I went for a steak, got ribs. My wife liked her fish, but I didn't care much for the bbq sauce on the ribs. I did not finish a half rack. lastly, they should automatically brinjg out wetnaps with a rib order. the waiter had to run to the kitchen, get linen napkins, run them under warm water. Maybe a minor touch, but arnies and mikes have figured this out. We may try it again, but likely for lunch instead of dinner. Am hopeful because I really liked the decor and location.

Dinner and service were excellent. I believe they should work on acoustics and the lighting. Otherwise excellent

It’s hard to say if we had a new server or a not great server- we ordered steak and had to ask for steak knives, wine glasses were removed from the table mid-meal when we had open bottles of wine, and everything felt rushed throughout the meal. Steak was overcooked but chicken was fantastic! The final straw for me was visiting the restroom after a kitchen employee who left it in a terrible state. We won’t return.

. Owing to a good time we had there in 2023, my wife and I went to dinner at Drapers last night. We were QUITE disappointed with the experience. To wit: •I ordered a hamburger without the caramelized onions and with mustard on the side. The burger came WITH the onions, but WITHOUT the mustard. It took two waitstaff around 5 minutes to get the mustard. •The burger was tasteless. •When we sat down, I’d shown the waiter a membership card which entitled us to a discount. He reacted to it in such a way that I thought he know about the discount. However, when he brought me the bill, there was no discount. I reminded him about the supposed discount; he checked with his manager, and we did finally get one. We have no plans to go there again.

Great spot in downtown Fairfax. Good range dishes from sandwiches to seafood to pasta entrees. Service was excellent as was the taste. Server knowledgable about gluten free and kitchen made lots of accommodations including rice flour breading for calamari which was great for our gf diner!
