We have dined at the Drift more than 20 times. Other than the noise level, I have never complained. Until today. We made reservations for our four grandchildren to eat a buffet breakfast and meet Santa Claus. We arrived to find plain tables, no linen, no silverware. And no direction from waiters. We sat until the buffet opened. Coffee was provided for adults. No juice or milk for the children. Waffles, (no butter), quickly ran out and service was very slow in replenishing them. Scrambled eggs also quickly ran low. Roasted potatoes and bacon finished the buffet. Very sparse buffet. No knives, napkins or spoons were provided The tip was pre-set at 18% (other than bringing us water for the children, we never saw a waitress), and an additional 4% was added for “banquet fee.” Ridiculous charge for a Waffle House type breakfast.

We attended the Breakfast with Santa event. Firstly I’d like to say that Drift has always been a good experience for us, but this event was so poorly done. The food was cold, food continually ran out and staff did not replenish timely, there was not enough seating and tables needed to be moved around, food quality was poor compared to their regular menu, limited staff which required guests to get up and go locate staff for drinks and payment. For 4 adults and 2 children our total was $270 (including a couple mimosas and tips they included) - quality and service did not justify this cost! Overall this was a very poor experience and would not recommend the Breakfast with Santa event to anyone.

The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and soothing. The drinks are good and the food is above average. The meal portion are generous but not too much. It's a little pricey but good for special occasions.

We had a lovely dinner that was amazing. Brittney took care of all of our needs with a smile on her face. Her service was top notch! We loved it so much, we will go back for Christmas Eve! Drift on Lake Wylie never disappointments!

My husband and I went to Drift for Thanksgiving. The set menu was great. We both opted for the turkey with all the fixings. It was delicious. The starter of burrata and arugula salad was dry- no dressing, which was odd. The cranberry cheesecake was very good. We travel from Lake Norman to this gem because of the view, food and service. We have never been disappointed.

We went for their special Thanksgiving meal of a starter, main course, and dessert. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals with a few exceptions. I noticed all my food was warm and not hot, including the fried oysters. Someone else mentioned their burrata was a bit bland. However, the squash bisque was very good. It seemed the hit of the groups' meals was the traditional turkey and dressing meal. I had the prime rib, and it was average. I thought my cranberry cheesecake was the best part of the meal (along with the malbec). When brought to our tables, some of food was served to the incorrect person and the desserts were wrong. However, when pointed out, everything was straightened out immediately. We were seated in what seemed to be a back corner where the sun was shining directly on our table, making it very hard to talk to the people to my left. We were told there were no sun shades. Luckily, I had my sunglasses with me. It was a pleasant Thanksgiving meal, though, and we weren't rushed at all. Much more relaxed than doing all this at home.

Thanksgiving- fried oysters were like fried bread. Where’s the oysters? Turkey was very good. Prime rib was too rare and wasn’t appealing. Mashed potatoes were very good. Sweet potato casserole was delicious. Mac and cheese wasn’t hot. Hated the raw green beans. This wasn’t our best meal at The Drift but it was a holiday. We had very good service, though. Service was excellent.
