We were a large group and were hosted well by the owner. Great lunch experience food was fresh, well presented and delicious. Wine list is small but well chosen making for quick selection. Thoroughly enjoyable and would recommend.

Such a wonderful restaurant, food was delicious. Staff were amazing- our waitress was so lovely - Enthusiastic and friendly even though she was obviously busy. Love this place - almost don't want to tell people about it...

If there is only one place you chose to dine at in Christchurch, make sure it's Earl! Fine dining at a reasonable price with a laid-back atmosphere

Love everything about Earl! Such a vibe and one of the best places in town for a feed. Great ambience, quality/seasonal food and the best FOH staff. A must try for locals and those from further afield.

Thought the main course was excellent but starter a little sparse. Had 2 slices of focaccia and Italian meats and cheese. Reality was 2 small slices of toasted sourdough with butter!! and a few slices of ham/meat with a dusting of grated pecorino, poor and didn’t deliver on the promise. Mains were fish of the day and pasta. Drinks were a few glasses of very good house vino and a beer. Dessert was Gorgonzola cheese ( tasted like it but didn’t look like it) with a nice cracker, relish and candied nuts a coffee rounded it off nicely. Bill came to $231 including tip. Not bad for real food cooked in the open view in a silent kitchen
