    We ordered a medium-well steak, but it came out rare. Clearly, the kitchen has its own interpretation of “medium-well” or just doesn’t care. Maybe they think we enjoy guessing games with our food. Then came the real kicker. We had a reservation for 5 PM, and they kindly informed us that the table was ours for a whole two hours. How generous! It felt like we were renting the table instead of dining at a restaurant. Sure, I get that it’s the weekend, and they want to turn tables, but last I checked, the pandemic restrictions were over. No one’s limiting how many people can be in the building anymore. We settled in, but just as we were starting to relax, a young woman with an iPad popped by to remind us our time was almost up. How thoughtful. The funny part? I looked around and saw plenty of empty tables. The place wasn’t packed—it was windy outside, and people clearly had better things to do than dine out. So why were they rushing us? We’re not exactly loitering in a food court. Annoyed, we left. Here’s some advice: if your restaurant isn’t busy, maybe don’t rush your customers out like it’s Black Friday at a discount buffet. Nothing screams, “We don’t need your business,” like pressuring people to leave when half the tables are empty. It’s not a great look, and no one wants to eat at a place that feels deserted anyway. In my business—Canada’s largest car service company (bigger than even the dealerships, thank you very much)—we understand appearances matter. During rare slow times, we make sure our shop looks busy. Heck, we even park one of our own cars in the service bay if needed. Why? Because no one trusts a business that looks like it’s going under. A little common sense goes a long way. Restaurants shouldn’t treat their tables like arcade games, with timers ticking down until someone else gets a turn. You’re not just serving food—you’re creating an experience. Try acting like you care next time.

    Excellent service from the reception desk to the servers. Disappointed to see that the chicken Parmeson is no longer on the menu. It was a favorite. Servers (maria-999) and others who pitched in when needed were fantastic. Food was excellent, we shared he seafood platter and tried a new menu item (steak and sushi) both very good. All in all a great evening as always!

    We celebrated our son’s 19th Birthday and all the staff acknowledged his birthday, this made it very special for him. Food was excellent and staff were awesome!! Thanks you Earls.
