Located in the heart of Carytown, East Coast Provisions offers an inventive approachable American Fusion menu specializing in shellfish, fresh fish, sushi and steak. East Coast Provisions has a big city feel with a sleek décor and multiple levels of exposed brick, 2 fireplaces, intimate rooms, multiple bars and one of Richmond’s best outdoor patios. We have convenient parking and accept reservations for parties of all sizes. We are currently serving in the dining room and on our patio. Due to weather the patio is first come, first served; we do our best to accommodate all requests but cannot guarantee specific table requests. We apply a 20% gratuity to all parties of 8 or more.

This was our 5th visit. Food was truly disappointing. Appetizers were very good. Entrees were over cooked and served warm to cold Entrees were slow to the table suggesting they lingered in the back We have had very good food in previous visits. This Mother’s Day was very disappointing

My wife had crabcakes (she’s an expert on crabcakes), and I had the lobster roll. Both were so outstanding that I actually asked for permission to see the chef, to thank him for such a terrific meal!

The restaurant was hot and way too noisy. The server did not know how to pour wine. They were out of the wine I ordered, so the server just substituted with another wine and did not say anything about it until she was questioned about it.

Fish Tacos were great! Wedge salad was weird, not a fan. West Coast Sushi Roll was great as well. Would return!

Have been going to ECP for years since we had 2 kids go to U Richmond starting 10 years ago. Menu is a great collection of seafood options, fun drinks, and great service. Table seating can get tight and AC was blasting on a cool night, but otherwise it is a great dining option in Carytown area of Richmond.

Beautiful day for outside table with umbrella. Superb service in all regards. Our entrees, crabcake and grouper sandwiches, were cooked and presented delightfully among fresh greens. For dessert, we opted to share a blackberry sorbet that was a perfect palette treat. Server’s timing was an excellent pace.

I dine here frequently. The service is always excellent. I usually order things “on the side” or “no dressing on the salad” or “no lemon with the tea.”. The servers always get the order right. The food is consistently fresh and made to order. Today, although the reservation was for two, three of us showed up. The team handled it without a blink. Thanks, Coast!

We were seated in a small front room that had only 6 tables, mostly for two. The little gem wedge salad was small, and not really a wedge, but it was good. The steamed mussels were also good. The roasted rockfish did not look like the description on the menu, but it was ok. The shrimp and grits came in a bowl with a soup spoon. There was way too much liquid in the bowl. The shrimp had the tails on, so I had to scoop out the shrimp to remove the tails. The shrimp was a little tough and chewy. We won't be going back to ECP.
