   Amazing grilled oysters, craft beer and fish, particularly the rockfish. The chef made special efforts to accommodate the lactose-intolerant diner. Our server, Bebe, was amazing and went above and beyond, even giving us local neighborhood tips. The restaurant staff also ran across the street to give my partner back an item he’d forgotten in the restaurant. Would give more than five stars if it were possible!

   after receiving texts about being on time we arrived 10 mins early, but did not get seated til 20 mins past our revservation time. ordered a drink and was brought the wrong drink then it took 20 mins to get the right drink. when we received our food almost 40 mins later, my steak was cold before i finished. the tables were small. my party of 4 were there for a total of 2 hrs. i would not recommend this resturant to anyone

   This was possibly the best meal we have had in Richmond in the past few years - and we have had quite a few very good ones. One of us loves seafood and the other does not, so ECP was the perfect restaurant for us. Here non-seafood dishes are not an afterthought. My husband raved about the octopus starter and lobster tail main. I raved about my short rib ragout with burrata. We shared beignets for dessert and the best part was the fruit "garnish" they were served with - fresh & sweet strawberries & blueberries, pomegranate arils, kumquats, candied orange peel, marcona almonds in a light honey sauce - it was divine. (PS - I tried the octopus and as a no seafood person I thought it was pretty good). We had read about ECP in a "Best of" article when we were looking at dining options for Richmond. and they were spot on. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent (Thanks Chase for a wonderful experience!) We made a point of telling the concierge at our hotel to add it to his list of recommendations. ECP is now on our list of must visit restaurants for future trips.

   Great night with friends! Happy Hour deals at the bar before we sat for dinner. Great conversation with the bartender who gave wonderful recommendations for dinner choices. Our table was being held till we were done upstairs. We enjoyed mussels crab cakes and salads as well as great seafood. Definitely will be going back!

   Great atmosphere and great food! Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the calamari appetizer and mussels. Truffle fries so good. Can’t wait to return!

   My partner and I have dined here a couple times and every experience before has been great, however last night was disappointing. The pros: the hostess was very friendly and we were seated right away despite being early for our reservation, the food overall was good and drinks were delicious. The cons: we waited a while for every step of the meal. I understand it was a busy evening and a full restaurant but it seemed like we were an afterthought. We waited a while to be greeted and we placed a drink and app order. The calamari came out quickly and was very good but we finished it and waited another 10-15 minutes to order our entree. When the entrees arrived, the filet I ordered med rare was basically well done. Our food also kept being taken to the table next to us every course and they had to correct the runner. These things combined with the overall server neglect made us feel like an afterthought. I appreciate that the filet price was halved on the ticket but this experience has left a sour taste in our mouths.

    Staff was friendly and prompt, they went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed. The rockfish and salmon entrees were perfectly cooked and the cocktails were phenomenal. The space was quiet and inviting, and never felt like we had to talk over the room ambience or other patrons. Would highly recommend to anyone.
