Originally opened in 2005, Garrett Harker’s flagship restaurant has reopened its doors just up Beacon St. only three blocks from its original location. Eastern Standard continues to offer seasonally focused New England interpretations of classic brasserie fare, including raw bar and charcuterie, nostalgic favorites like steak tartare, baked rigatoni, steak frites, and butterscotch bread pudding, and some new soon-to-be-instant-classic dishes. Cocktail legend Jackson Cannon has crafted a beverage menu that features an array of craft cocktails both new and classic, a curated selection of wines, and craft beers from near and far.

This has become our favorite go-to date night place! My husband has gluten sensitivity and I'm lactose intolerant, and they have always accommodated us very well. Their cocktails and mocktails are excellent, the food is always delicious, the portions are just right, and the price is very affordable! We've always received excellent service from the wait staff and the managers and hosts are welcoming as well. An excellent restaurant!

Just exceptional on all fronts. Felt well-taken care of from the moment we walked through the doors. Food was outstanding and was coursed and timed comfortably. Beverage selection is extensive and staff members are knowledgable about offerings or easily access management to help with suggestions. Never felt rushed but didn't feel like anything was dragging. There's a reason why Eastern Standard had historically been an easy choice for just about any sort of occasion, and our experience in their new location picked right up without skipping a beat.

Manuel was warm, friendly and helpful. Sidney also gave us great information and showed us around this beautiful place. we'll be back.

It was a Saturday night and Eastern Standard was the place to be! Excellent food (carrot ginger soup is a must and swordfish with coconut rice special should be a regular on the menu!) and attentive service (we had a few requests as it was a business dinner) made for a great experience. Love the cocktail menu, variety on the dinner menu and fun, festive atmosphere. Oh, and easy parking. Will definitely be back.

The food was good. The calamari appetizer was some of the best I have had in Boston. The service, however, was below what I think is acceptable and did not meet expectations. It took a while to get service. It did not feel the place was overly busy (4 to 5 Tables) to get that level of service for lunch. There were not many tables to service. I hope to go back when I hear that the service level improves for lunch.

Had a wonderful experience from start to finish! We had a group of 11 of all ages and everyone thought the staff, service, food and atmosphere were all fabulous!

Great dinner when we dropped in for New Years Eve. Restaurant was crowded but in an inviting/pleasing way and the service was also great.
