Well, anyone who has seen my reviews, know that I am a frequent diner here and always have a great experience. Tonight was no different; the usual accommodating and genuinely friendly staff, fantastic ambiance (outdoor lanai is my preferred seating here), and consistently well-executed dishes. We had my must-have-at-ever-visit Mongolian ribs. The burrata salad with red beets over locally-sourced greens is another go-to for me. The Kale Salad was abundant and fresh. The shortribs entree was abundant; with a lovely tender ribs, mound of delicious mash, and veggies. No room for the dessert I enjoy the most - the chocolate souffle with Tahitian vanilla ice cream. Next time!

Food was amazing, drinks were fantastic, service was great. Also had some with gluten allergy/no cross-contamination in our group and there was a separate gluten-free menu and many fantastic options and staff were knowledgeable and kind. Would highly recommend regardless of gluten-eating status.

Better than any other place in hawaii. Great dinner with great people. Thank you for everything. I wish i come back for any other time in my life.

I would not recommend this place. Stripsteak is next door and a much better value with better food. The steak here is $68 and over cooked and overall ambience is blah. Came 30 mins early for our reservation and was told we would be seated immediately, after 15 mins we followed up and they said oh, we are seating the other reservations… why not just say “we will seat you closer to your reservation time” ??? We could have walked around. Would never eat here again, not worth it. Service ok Food blah - I would compare it to a diner Ambience - 5/10

Honestly Eating House is one of my favorite restaurants. I eat here for all special occasions with my friends and enjoy the location on Kauai and in Waikiki. I have greatly enjoyed every dinner service that I have had at Eating House, but the brunch was disappointing. To be fair, the food was phenomenal when it came, but the service was inattentive and the menu felt small. We waited quite some time for our server. The server assistant was great but the server passed us up many times and gave other tables much more attentive service. We also had to ask for our check several times before it was finally brought. Honestly, I was a little bit embarrassed as I was treating my dad for his first visit to Hawaii and I had talked up this restaurant.

Eating House 1849 is our favorite place in Waikiki. We ordered Pau Hana Collection during Happy Hour. Plenty of delicious food. Server was attentive. Ukulele player was wonderful! Will definitely return!
