Pittsburgh Restaurant Week was a tremendous deal and excellent. More than I could comfortably finish. Our server was great. Only downer was that they no longer validate parking. I used to frequently dine when I could park for free and go to an event after. Now there are other choices I often prefer because they are about the same cost and somewhat easier.

Our server Julia was fantastic. The steaks were delicious as well as the bread and crab bisque. The crème brûlée was bland and a little disappointing. Overall a great meal.

I must say up front that I was there for their Restaurant Week promotion. I have been there several other times this year though. In the past, they have always validated parking, but the hostess said awkwardly and in a hushed voice that they don't do that anymore. I suspect that it may have been bc I was there for Restaurant Week, which they asked if I was there for RW or Regular Dining on the reservation form on Open Table, which I live! They were the only restaurant to do so. I was seated right away and waited on quickly, although when my server saw that I was there for RW he was somewhat snobby for the rest of the meal. The King Crab & Corn Bisque was incredible as usual. The bisque along withy entree weren't hot though. Their carrot cake was incredible as usual. Overall a very pleasant experience, but not as enjoyable as other times that I have visited.

A couple of glitches tonight. I ordered French onion soup and never received it. Also, the waiter never brought bread for the table. The steak was fantastic. However, I felt the service could have been more attentive.

the service was outstanding. jaime was our server and she was so polite, kind, and informational about menu items. we went for restaurant week and i think the price was a little high for the amount of food we received. i had the king crab soup for my starter - 10/10, SO GOOD!! i had the filet as my entree and it came with about 1-2 tablespoons of mashed potatoes and 7 green beans. felt like a really small amount of food for the price - 8/10. for dessert i had the chocolate cake - 8/10, a little dry but had great flavor.

Went for restaurant week and it was pretty lack-luster. The meal itself was COLD and Very small portions of sides. The steak was rare and we had ordered medium rare. Our waiter would only stop by here and there so we weren't able to ask to have it heated up or we would've been sitting there waiting forever to eat. I know its a prixe fix menu, but at least throw a little sauce or butter on the steak to give it something. The sides and dessert were good - crab soup was delicious but could use a bit more crab in it, of course you got a tiny piece here or there. Good bread and butter, good creme Brule. Chocolate cake was nothing special and dry, but a good portion size at least. Just because it's a restaurant week menu doesn't mean you should skimp on the quality and because of that we'll pick other restaurants over this one in the future.

Don't miss Eddie Merlot's. Great dining experience! Beautiful surroundings, nice wine list, and specialty drinks. My filet was delicious ... done to perfection. Great wait staff, Edward was the best. Appreciate the restaurants that participate in Restaurant Week.
