Our chef selects each steak for the optimum proportion of marbling and texture before hand-cutting and seasoning the steaks to your specifications. We went here for lunch to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived shortly after they opened and were the first table seated. Since it was our first time here, we tried many items. Appetizers: calamari and sweet and spicy shrimp. We both ordered Caesar salads, crab and corn bisques with the lunch special of Steak Frites. Finished with crème brûlée for the dessert. Service was incredibly slow. At one point the server apologized for the food wait times, explaining there was only one chef in the kitchen. However, at that time there was only one other table of 5 seated in the whole restaurant. And even with a short-staffed kitchen, that shouldn’t impact filling drinks. Our server repeatedly forgot or took a long time to refill my soft-drink. As for the food: the appetizers had good flavor. However the breading was heavy on both the shrimp and calamari. The salad was fine. The soup had a good flavor as well, but it was mission impossible to find crab in the bisque. As for the main entrees, the ribeye steak was severely under seasoned. They sliced the steak for you, and whenever you served exposed meat like—there should always be finishing salt. It was very bland. The crème brûlée, however, was very good. Overall, I would not recommend. The place was beautiful inside but with slow service and mediocre food, I was not impressed.

If you want to be extra pampered, go to Eddie Merlot's, Warrenville. Every bit of indulgence from the shrimp cocktails thru filets cooked to perfection with sides of sautéed mushrooms and mashed potatoes and lobster plus drinks. Then top it off with their chocolate cake that's out of this world to finish off two birthday celebrations! The added plus was Phillipe was our waiter and wait on the four of us he did with outstanding care and information. We will definitely go back and soon-that's if our waistlines can handle it. AND we hope Phillipe will take care of us again. BTW--the beautiful decor is stunning and a breath of elegance to satisfy a wonderful change from stsrk and sterile.

Always enjoy getting bar bites, salad or soup with them & a glass of wine in the bar! Staff is very personable & food dekucious. Love their cozy chairs in the bar room too, as they are so comfortable! Atmosphere is excellent!

This is a must stop for lunch only offered in the month of December for the holidays.Had a really nice variety of options to choose from. Great quality food for reasonable prices.

I ordered a New York strip. It was as salty and grizzly as if I bought it at a cheap grocery store. It was a very thin cut. My salad was great and my husband‘s sea bass was also very good. The fire alarms went off while you were eating. None of us had to go running out, but the fire department did walk in and out, alarm was ringing nothing was said to any of us in the restaurant about sorry for the noise, sorry for the disruption sorry for the fire department running through your dinner. I would’ve thought they would’ve offered a drink offered a dessert offered an apology.

Another outstanding dinner! Karleigh made our thanksgiving amazing. We didn't do the traditional thanksgiving meal but each got steaks and as always great! It was perfect for a first year married just us Thanksgiving!
