Having never dined at Eddie V’s, we decided to take advantage of Restaurant Week. All 4 of us had something different from the Restaurant Week menu and we all raved about how delicious everything was. Icing on the cake was our fabulous server. She was incredible and described each item in detail. Such a great choice…and we’ll definitely return!

I have mixed feelings about this one. The good: we checked in for our reservation and the hostess was extremely friendly. We had a wonderful conversation with her, and we were sat at a phenomenal location. It wasn’t a long wait at all since we had a reservation. The lobster bisque was excellent! I loved it as did my wife. My steak was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The sides were delicious and well cooked. The desserts and coffee were also amazing - very well presented and tasty! The bad: our server must have been preoccupied. It took him forever to take our order, and he did not check-in nearly as often. I nearly had to flag someone down to go find him, and when he finally did come back, he said he was caught up talking to friends. What a curious thing to say to people who have been waiting on you. We mentioned that it was our anniversary, and there was no acknowledgment. What a disappointment. My wife and I both had things floating in our water at various points in the evening. Our serve addressed mine, but, as I stated, he didn’t come back frequently enough to allow us to point out hers. My wife’s salmon was way undercooked, so she could only eat some of it. She set it aside with the intention of speaking to the server, but he came by and grabbed the plate and left quickly - Nevermind asking if she would like it wrapped up to go or whether or not there was something wrong with it. He didn’t say a word - just took it. The last thing was my drink. I had a smoked old fashioned and it was lackluster. There was no smoke and hardly any flavor - what are we paying for if not the experience? We were sad because we don’t like to complain, but this was certainly a waste or a sitter and a 10 year anniversary celebration.

From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. The staff was very attentive. Genna our server was excellent! The food was delicious. We had the crispy shrimp, lobster bisque, swordfish and filet mignon. All cooked perfectly, but the best part was the bananas foster cake for dessert! Will definitely return.

This was our first visit to Eddie V's. We were there for KC Restaurant Week, so the menu was limited. But it did not disappoint. The filet was delicious and could be cut with a fork. We also had the salmon and it was prepared perfectly. Even the sour dough bread was excellent. Bridget was taking care of us. She explained both the Restaurant Week menu as well as the full menu. Both Bridget and the young man helping did not hover but stopped by the table at just the right time to check on us. Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Eddie V's and will definitely return.

Food is exceptional. Cody was a great server. Might come back to KC just to eat at Eddie V's.
