                                    This dining experience was nothing short of magical! We were initially entranced by the marvelous castle like architecture and beautiful grounds of the property. Each employee positively contributed to the overall atmosphere and experience. The food was just as special and unique. We loved it and can't wait to return! Thanks!

                                    The food is extraordinary. I had the venison another in our group had beef Wellington, and others had white Peking duck. All were excellent. Service was good and the server was very knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere is quiet and allows for good conversation. We really enjoy the restaurant.

                                    For the remote area of Galena, it’s a best buy. The food was tasty (we had the roasted beets salad, the salmon, and the beef Wellington). The staff was very attentive and friendly. And the prices were reasonable. The ambiance left much to be desired. The only food disappointment was the “deconstructed desserts”. We had the pear tart which was essentially three broken pieces of cracker, some pear slices and some raspberry drizzle scattered on a plate.

                                    Another indelible, delectable dining experience at the Goldmoor Inn, Galena, Illinois, for this mother-daughters team. From Esme to Heather, the staff were warm and professional. The appetizers were delicious - gnocchi, and warm beets - the dirty martinis were magnificently dirty, the entrees were completely off the charts - venison ribeye, short ribs ramen, and Scottish salmon - and the desserts provided the perfect ending, along with a French press of decaf and heavy cream. With such a Christmas feast, 2025 can now be faced with courage and good humor.
