In the heart of Sugar House, El Cholo has been serving classic dishes and margaritas in a traditional setting since 1923. Reservations recommended.

We have complimentary parking behind our restaurant. Free street parking is plentiful. Also, AFTER 5:30PM we have secured the lot next door at the Kimball Office Complex at 2178 South 900 East.

The food and drinks and service are all very good. I like that they have some parking too. They are a little more pricey than other Mexican food.

Great Mexican food. The staff was friendly and took good care of us. Tableside guacamole was very good.

El Cholo is a very good choice for Mexican food in Salt Lake City. The food and drinks are fantastic and the service is second to none. Sophie was our server and she was fantastic!

We love the food & service at El Cholo. Great drinks & great food. My favorite are the cheese enchiladas.
