Menu Highlights: Main: Roasted Turkey al Ajillo Paella, bomba rice, a rich roasted chicken and turkey broth, and a touch of aioli. Lovely staff, quality food, nice drinks. My family enjoyed our date night so much. The calamari was excellent, seafood paella was great. Duck paella was a bit too salty but yummy.

Can’t go wrong with the duck paella, or Brussels sprouts. We had a good time, we will go back.

Everything is perfect; great food and service. The only one thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was the pricing tactic that includes an extra 3% fee to the bill to cover employees health insurance costs (and I’m sure that’s in addition to higher costs building into the menu already). That’s pretty sneaky IMO.

Top to bottom, upon entering the restaurant to leaving we had a wonderful evening. Food and service were at the highest levels.

Great place. Server knowledgeable and helpful. It was our first time and we took our server’s Recs. The shrimp was fantastic! All the food was very good and we can’t wait to come back!

Our server was great. Fully explained the dishes we were considering and thankful he suggested that we order another dish due to the portion sizes. The shrimp had wonderful flavor. The grilled octopus with chickpeas was more like chickpeas with octopus. Though the octopus was nicely grilled and tender there was not even 4 bites of it and waaay too much chickpeas on the plate. The slow cooked ribs were outstanding and complimented the vegetable paella. The patatas were nice and crispy and a generous serving. We are quite familiar with tapas having dined in Barcelona and other cities outside of the US, we did feel the portions at El Raval were not in par with the pricing. We actual left hungry. The most disappointing was that we felt rushed by those bringing and removing the individual plates. We felt a sense of urgency to eat. Also, the waiter spoke highly of the sommelier but the red wine chosen for the "Wild Card" that night (it's a surprise me kind of ordering) was down right undrinkable and my husband had to send it back for a cab sav on the menu.
