I never write reviews, I tip according to the service etc and mostly more than 20%. However, I was so disappointed and disgusted with this restaurant I had to say something...EXTRA. First, let me say the establishment is gorgeous...chandeliers, mahogany woods and marble counter tops. Truly high-end and to my expectations in terms of looks and ambience. Sadly, the staff has desecrated the dining experience. There was no dress-code, tourists were there in stained T-shirts, sneakers, dirty cut-off jeans and tank-tops. I was mortified and felt uncomfortable, as I am not used to such LOW trappings from an expected high-end establishment. The host was allowing anyone from off the street to dine, giving no consideration to the integrity of the restaurant and sophisticated patrons. There was outside seating and people of that nature should not have been allowed inside to dine with others. The host primarily sat us downstairs in a space contrary to my reservation request. I insisted on leaving unless I received what was requested in my reservation ONE MONTH PRIOR. Eventually, I was appropriately seated upstairs. I ordered a Shirley Temple for my son and STRESSED the addition of cherries and sliced oranges etc garnishments. The waitress brought the drink plain, drab without following instructions and then LIED about the bar not having the garnishments. I noticed soda cans on other tables, as if it was a fast food restaurant, and cheap bottled water brought from outside. How sad and deameaning to the decor! The flame was finally lit and I had to leave without dining; unfortunately, when I saw them escorting more stained T-shirt, birkenstocks, tennis shorts and sneaker patrons to the tables to dine. It made me nauseated to be around such classless individuals. Therefore, I gathered my son, went to the host and told her I felt uncomfortable, was leaving, and may I pay the check. Whom appeared to be a manager/supervisor apologized, and I left.

We very much enjoyed our dinner and had great service. Loved the menu, experience and food. The table next to us was not as fortunate as they had ordering issues- for example received their bottle of wine after receiving their food. I’m guessing it was a glitch but it was interesting to observe first hand why we gave a rating of 5 stars whereas they will likely give only 1.

Really prompt service which seemed to be a rarity everywhere else! We ordered the steak platter for 2 with sides of gnocci and risotto. The churrascos were too good!

An amazing experience! Great restaurant with incredibly hospitable and qualified personnel that matches perfectly with the gastronomic quality as well as with the history of the place. After receiving as tourist in the USA, generally, the worst quality of food and service in the planet, coming to Puerto Rico and especially this specific restaurant changed my whole view. Well done guys! You are doing awesome!!!
