Executive Chef Scott Anderson chose the name "elements" for the restaurant because he is passionate about sourcing fresh, local, organic ingredients and sustainably raised meats and seafood. He wants the very elements of your meal to play a major role in the taste of it. Then he and his team work to reveal the complementary flavor dimensions inherent in the elements by skillfully combining them—often in edgy new ways. Restaurant menus change constantly here, making this the dinner restaurant that is excitingly different every time you return.

We took our attorney and his wife to dinner to express our gratitude for special work he did for us this year. In jest he said he wanted to go to the best. We chose Elements. At the end of the first course, the verdict was: "I think this is the best tuna tartare I have ever had." At the end of the meal, over coffee, the verdict was similarly stated, "This is one of the best meals I have ever eaten." Scott, thank you for making this gift such a success. Indeed, you are the "best."

The seafood selection was better prepared compared to the red meat one. Lamb had no natural flavor at all and the ribeye had a strong smoke flavor and someone had to look with microscope to find the meat itself - too much fat. Effort in presentation is always excellent!

Food was interesting and very good. I think the interior and no table cloth was as bland as it could get. I wish the overall experience would have reflected it was New Year Eve and made it more special but it was not worth the cost this time.

Elements is easily the most unique dining experience in Princeton, maybe in all of Central Jersey. The experience we had wasn't just in what they served, which was an 8 course meal of various seafood and meat dishes (including dessert) all exquisitely prepared and delicious, but in that it was served over a 4-hour period, so diners basically have their table for the night, with no rush. We went on New Year's Eve, so it actually worked perfectly, leaving just in time to be home by midnight, but you need to be in the mood for this type of experience. The waitstaff was excellent, very attentive and informative, presenting each creative dish with the correct accoutrement. The chef also allows substitutions, if you or someone in your party can't eat one of the prix fixe items. This all comes with a hefty price tag, but it's worth treating yourself for a special occasion. My only critique was that the brightness of the dining room did nothing to set the mood and although I enjoyed being able to see my menu, the ambiance would be a bit more magical if they turned the lights down.

The New Year's Eve dinner was exquisite: both beautifully presented AND delicious. There were five courses. The dishes appear small, but we were full. Highlights: the moonstone oysters and the fatty tuna...melted in your mouth. Pricey, but the food was at least special. It seems these days expensive restaurants are often not worth it, and one has to go to "very expensive" to get anything resembling really good food.

New year eve set dinner was beyond what we expected. We had been Elements a few times in the past. This set is what we like most. The portion is good and the quality of food is excellent. As always, the staffs are very attentive. The only thing is the menu from the website is not really accurate. Shrimp and Wagyu dishes need to pay an extra. Strongly recommended,

We went to the New Year’s Eve tasting menu Both the meat and vegetarian tasting menus were nice The wine tasting was OK not the best,skimpy based on server and overpriced. Service was great from Caroline. First two dishes were amazing. They geared towards Southeast Asian food. The next few dishes ventured into meat as well as vegetarian substitute. These dishes were an interesting pairing as it took you across the melting pot of the United States. The finale the desert .
