Happy New Year! Thank you for dining with us and ending the year celebrating the final hours of 2024. We look forward to caring for you this New Year's Eve dinner. Just as a friendly reminder, we will be serving our amazing and delicious NYE Prix Fixe menu created by our head chef, Ken San. Due to a fully committed and busy evening, we kindly ask that each dining experience is enjoyed in an hour and fifteen minutes to hour and a half to accommodate upcoming reservations. We will honor reservations within 15 minutes. Please notify the restaurant to hold your reservation if running late. Reservations without notification will be accommodated as waitlist only. The Elephant Sushi Team is excited to take care of you and celebrate the New Year! Cheers to 2025!

I have loved Elephant sushi every time I’ve been there but last night it just wasn’t up to their standards. The tempura was mushy. The black card was out of this world but the salmon color just was not that good and I was really disappointed. Maybe too many people came in at the same time in the kitchen was very busy, but just was not up to to the quality that I had

Another excellent dinner here before the symphony! Must try the omakase nigiri, fish fresh and buttery. Drinks creative and all fruit squeezed here for them. Interiors hugs you with warmth and excitement! Always thank you.

Sushi rolls were wildly over seasoned. The Nigiri was really good the first time we ordered it, and mediocre the second time. That level of inconsistency is pretty unacceptable.

I gave this an overall 3 mainly because of service issues. The biggest issue is that we reserved this restaurant for SF Restaurant Week and they had an interesting menu for that week. When we got there, we were told that they had to withdraw from restaurant week because of a sudden staff departure due to family issues. I can understand that, and they did withdraw from the restaurant week listings. However, we had reserved before they had withdrawn, and they had all the contact and reservation data from opentable, so it would have been nice if they sent out a message that they would not be able to serve the special menu so that we could have considered cancelling the reservation instead of being extremely annoyed when we got there. We sat down for quite a while before someone offered us menus, which was another issue. Throughout the meal, the serving staff seemed a bit rushed and distracted. The food was pretty good. All the fish dishes were great. The chicken karaage was tasty but the crust was not as crispy as I would have liked.
