   We were there before 6 and it was busy for a Friday night. Service was extremley slow, food order took 45 minutes. Pork was over cooked. Great menu, but not worth the wait.

   Food was very tasty…except it took over 30 min to get the appetizers and the scallops meal came out cold. The baked Brie and poutine apps were great when they did finally arrive. Neat place, but the service just wasn’t good at all!

   Beautiful restaurant downtown with a fascinating history. The menu is very wide ranging to suit every palate.

   Currently not brewing any of their own beer - between brewmasters at the moment. Nice historical building.

   Great for groups, went for a work dinner and everyone was happy—the consensus at the table was that the salmon was excellent. Allergen friendly too for Vegan and Gluten free individuals.

   Four of us were out for dinner. We had appetizers which were good, sauerkraut balls and the hummus plate. But the dinners varied. My chicken Marsala was very good, but others got the almond crusted chicken salad, not enough dressing (not a big deal). Honey habenaro chicken sandwich had no flavor. And the Cajun chicken penne, the penne had flavor but the chicken didn’t. Two of us also got the bourbon flights, which was fun. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the restaurant and took great pride in telling us its history, which we loved! It’s a lovely old building with beautiful details! We’ll be back to try it again.

    Something has changed with this iconic restaurant! Somehow the service is not as great as the many times that we have been coming here. It was a comedy of errors from drink orders and delivery to bringing out our delicious dinners. all at once. We invited two other couples with a big build up. I’m hoping this “ in the weeds moment “ was an isolated event.
