Elk Ave Prime is located in the heart of downtown Crested Butte on Elk Avenue. We feature hand carved Prime and Wagyu steaks, Colorado lamb, Elk, Buffalo, fresh Seafood, farm to restaurant garden salads and more.

We feature many beers on tap, most of which are Colorado born, as well as the largest wine selection in the valley. You can enjoy any of our drinks from our outdoor patio or cozy up next to our fireplace, great after a long day of skiing.

Elk Ave Prime is one of the largest venues in Crested Butte, ideal for large parties or wedding receptions.

Best fine dining in crested butte. Excellent steaks and now.... seafood! Ambiance is very mountain chic. Delicious sauces, crisp salad. Very expensive....

Loved it. It was four of us guys on a trip and we were able to also catch the KC game while eating well. Thank you to the entire staff. I can't remember the name of our server, but his services was excellent.

Food was good. Service started off good but something clearly happened and there was literally a 45 minute wait between when our salads were cleared and main course was served. Being a non-drinker this wait seemed painfully long. The server apologized for the delay a couple times but no explanation was offered. Two other tables with parties larger than ours were seated after us, completed their meal before us and were out of the restaurant shortly after our main course was served. Disappointing. I’d go back but with much lower expectations.

The “Eye of Ribeye” needs to be removed from the menu immediately. That trash was so tough I would’ve needed about 8 extra canine teeth to enjoy it. We went here 4 years ago and our food was unbelievable. Other than the steak, the sides and drinks were fine. Our server was a little annoyed at splitting the checks even though we essentially got robbed of about $250 worth of tips due to the automatic 20% gratuity. All in all, the value for what we paid was horrific.

David, We are so sorry you didn't enjoy your meal with us. All of our steaks are prime grade and our chefs are sticklers for quality control. That being said, it sounds like we really missed the mark, and for that we are sorry. The chefs and management take all feedback seriously and will look into the eye of ribeye immediately. So happy the mushrooms are back! And the French Onion soup. As always, everything was delicious. Best wine in the Valley.

Extremely overpriced for the quality. Appetizer (burrata) was amazing. Sides were great. Steak was ridiculous. Paid $120 for a 40 oz tomahawk. We got about 8 ounces of meat (varied between raw and totally overcooked) and a pound and a half of fat, plus the bone. Chimichurri was outstanding. Wine was great but they were out of the one we picked originally. Disappointed overall.

Disappointed in their new menu. They significantly raised their prices. The Oscar style Ribeye with Crab was terrible, they don’t serve it with Jumbo Lump crab like they use to, it’s canned backfin crab meat. Terrible. Won’t be returning back here again.

Another great meal at one of our favorite restaurants in CB. Excellent service with Kevin and perfectly prepared steaks and sides.
