    I love Elkwater! The build your own breakfasts are great value, the croque Monsieur to die for and the staff are fantastic - so friendly and professional! I often just pop in for food and/or coffee but a few months ago I'd booked ahead a table for Sunday brunch with my partner. It was a busy Sunday and we watched everybody get served food except for us. When we realised we may have been forgotten, the staff were amazingly apologetic and gave us a huge discount, which was so appreciated. That's proper customer service! I've been for an evening meal before top and whilst it can be a little pricey, it was beautiful food. Highly recommend

    Overall rearly enjoyed, americano coffee weak, please don't put salt on the chips let customer decide .To much bread would prefer open sandwich .

    2 bacon sandwiches were served in mouldy bread buns. They food was sent back, and returned in the same bread rolls with the mould cut off! Not acceptable!

    We unreservedly apologise for your unacceptable food that was initially served to you Monique. We take food hygiene very seriously and are looking into how this could have happened. We must point out however, that the original sandwich was thrown away and a fresh sandwich was prepared and served to you free of charge. You did appear to enjoy the sandwich, so we thought that our apologies and good will gesture had met your satisfaction. We are sorry that you still felt the need to give us this review, but we hope you can revisit us again and have a better experience.

    Great service with friendly staff. Had lovely build your own breakfast, very filling and tasty. Lovely setting on a very frosty winter day. Will be nice to sit outside in the sunshine in the summer. Will definitely return, maybe lunch or dinner next time.

    My husband and I had lunch at Elk Water today and it was predictably very very good. Tasty and well presented. Our waitress was most helpful in selecting wine. This place is the best thing to have happened in Ponteland for many years. Love it!
