Welcome to Ellie's Tap & Vine... Join us for seasonal cuisine, elegant ranch ambiance and great wine! We are Valley to Table dining, working with many local farms and purveyors; We look forward to seeing you soon! Our menu changes regularly, so please feel free to visit our website: www.elliestapandvine.com or follow us on IG and/or FB.

Our restaurant is located in the heart of Santa Ynez. We boast amazing outdoor seating with great views and because it is often a little chilly in the evening, we have heaters. We are also dog and cat friendly.

We know re-adjusting to dining out is a strange experience for everyone and we are all slowly returning. For now, we will be suspending lunch service.

After a day on the town, we looked forward to stopping at Ellie's after a friend's recommendation. The chef made us one of the best halibuts I've ever had over a lovely sweet potato persimmon hash. We also enjoyed a perfectly prepared filet mignon with the best mash potatoes to exist. I even ordered an extra side of them!! For dessert we had a melt-in-your-mouth bread pudding that you really must try! The apple crisp was also good without being too sweet and just the right amount of ice cream to complement every bite. The ambiance is fantastic. The small quaint interior is clean and cozy with low lighting that sets the mood. The wine list was quite impressive and I can't wait to come back for the $10 wine nights! There's a big wrap-around balcony outside w amazing views - this will be a wonderful place to spend the warm summer nights w friends. Lastly, Chef Joy even came to our table to check in on us and the service was spectacular without feeling stuffy. Menus change monthly and feature local seasonal ingredients which will keep me coming back to see what's new. Friendly staff, impressive ambiance, and delicious food make this a noteworthy five-star experience. Highly recommended!

Passing nearby, we decided to try a restaurant we had not been before. A great surprise. We were warmly welcomed and seated a nice table. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The service was outstanding. And the food was expertly prepared and delicious. We had a half chicken dinner and a chicken pot pie. Both dinners were large portions and very tasty. We had warm apple tort for desert that was really good. We will certainly be back. A great find.

We come to the Santa Ynez Valley a couple times a year and make it a point to come to Ellie’s every time. The food and service is consistently excellent and the crabcake is not to be missed.

The restaurant was full on a Tuesday evening. Service was good, although they looked a little overworked. The food is quite heavy and certainly I think I would've shared portions had I known we had the calamari, and there was a massive amount of garlic in it, which I enjoyed, and the flavor was great as well as the tenderness of the squid. Our main courses were very hearty and well cooked. Desert apple crisp was way too sweet with masses of caramel . Overall good but rich and heavy so go hungry and share .

We’ve visited Ellie’s in the past and had mixed experiences. However, this establishment has improved significantly in both food quality and service standards. The server was exceptionally personable, and the kitchen was impressively attentive, accommodating my wife’s extensive list of food intolerances with care. We will definitely revisit Ellie's on our next trip.

Always something new and yummy on the menu. Tonight it was the giant crab cake. This place is always a treat when we come to town! Congrats to the team at Ellie’s!

I am very disappointed to hear that your service was less than stellar. My staff has been with me for quite some time and I can assure you that your level of service is not indicative of the level of service guests routinely receive.
