Born from a passion for authentic, honest cuisine, Embankment Kitchen embarked on a journey to really feed people. Rooted in the warm spirit of Northern hospitality, this is a neighbourhood kitchen where you can eat, drink, unwind, and truly feel at home. We believe in the power of good, solid, recognisable dishes and fresh, seasonal ingredients. Each dish is crafted with precision and a touch of refined elegance and always prepared from scratch, in-house. If it isn’t already obvious, we love what do, and we work hard to curate a menu of classics that have the power to make you want to order everything. Our laid-back space invited diners to share moments and create memories over plates of food designed to hit the spot, and celebrate the extraordinary found in the ordinary, one plate at a time.

We only had breakfast at the restaurant as part of our stay. However the selection for breakfast were all filling, well presented and tasty, it’s disappointing however that continental isn’t available as a self serve, but if requested is an additional cost. The staff however are so polite, friendly and helpful. They serve at speed, constantly cleaning and asking if everything is ok. Everyday they were lovely and so nice to have good service.

Cannot begin to say how grateful I am to of spent my birthday here. Nathan was the main waiter to be with us tonight however there were another lovely lady who assisted me whenever I needed something which I am so grateful for. They made my birthday so special, they were so kind and lovely. Very mindful that they had other people they had to attend to but was still able to help us when needed, and they always ensured that everything was okay before leaving. They couldn’t have made my birthday any more special, I would most definitely suggest anybody to come and try embankment kitchen even if it’s just for lunch. The ambience is amazing, lovely interior and food is lovely. Honestly, 100/10 overall. I would 100% come here again, everyone deserves a raise for their hard work and attention to their customers. I would tip £1000 to them all if I could.

Lovely breakfast and good service. Plenty of choice and vegan breakfast was delicious- sets you up for the day.

Visit was for breakfast. Had the continental option. Good choice and you could have anything on the menu. Drinks were plentiful. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

Very busy (Sunday morning breakfast whilst staying at City Suites). Poor table (near automatic door which kept opening and letting in cold air). Slow service (understandable as so busy). Kitchen had run out of several items on breakfast menu.

Excellent service and breakfast. Booking when pre paid was easy via open table but it would be better if for pre paid breakfast you had better choice for times as it got booked up and only choice we had was 7.30 am on a Sunday. We were pre warned it would be busy so to book at arrival. Due to travel delays and pre booked meal and venue I didn’t. Maybe the option should be pre booked on booking or opt for book on check in? Any how everything else was excellent.

We really enjoyed the ambiance and the service. The beef pie, a nice twist on a beef bourguignon. A bit pricey normally but the 30% off the bill- January deal was excellent value!

Could not fault anything really. All our food was excellent as was breakfast the next morning. If we lived in Manchester we would definately visit again for breakfast and evening meals. Staff very hard working polite and cheerful. Thankyou from the Smiths
