   Wonderful dinner. A lot of food (tasting menu) for us older folks but took what we couldn't finish home. Standouts were the tartlet, madeleines, merguez sausage, halibut and date cake. Only dish I wasn't crazy about was the mussel toast. Since I was driving I had a non-alcoholic cocktail which was fabulous- didn't mind that there was no alcohol. If it weren't so far from where we live we would eat here often. Small problem with the check- they charged us for something extra, but it was fixed quickly with no hassle. Didn't realize until I was home that we based the tip on the original incorrect amount but the server was very good so not too upset at the extra she got.

   This restaurant is a total experience. The cross-pollination of cultures that make their way into the recipes leads to sensual tastes not found in other restaurants. The uniqueness of the crockery and the phenomenal and personal service make this restaurant a must-visit if one is a food pilgrim. I highly recommend it.

   Overall Emmett was fabulous. Food, service, attention to detail; all exceptional. If you’re looking for imaginative plates with strong flavor profiles this is the place for you. The tasting menu is an incredible way to explore the menu. Pricey, but worth it. Highlights were the Sesame Madelines, the carrots, and the agnolotti. We enjoyed both desserts as well. My only complaint is that the tables are very close together (you feel like you’re eating with the table next to you) and the noise level is quite high.

   I've already been here twice. Highly recommend the lamb loin dish and the Madeline’s with Caviar service. The duck is also incredible. The date cake for dessert is amazing and it comes with a Turkish coffee caramel that will have you licking the plate. They are one of Philly's newest restaurants focusing on Levantine cuisine with elements from around the greater Mediterranean, highlighting French, Italian, North African, and Middle Eastern flavors. The restaurant is very welcoming with a beautiful bar where you can get an excellent cocktail.My recommendation is the chef tasting so you can try most of the menu. Highly recommend.

   Emmett was fantastic! Will definitely be back. Service across the board was flawless. Cocktails were amazing with no fussy garnishes, food was gorgeous and equally delicious. Love that they are sourcing plates and glassware locally. Welcome to the neighborhood!

   We did not expect a screaming infant all night long, and we know there's not a lot the staff can do....otherwise higher!
