We are a locally loved neighbourhood bistro just tucked away off Bank street in the Glebe. We serve updated versions of familiar classics in an unpretentious and homey atmosphere.
We feature small sharing plates that we serve tapas style. Our dishes are meant to be enjoyed leisurely and in good company. We offer a seasonal and ever changing menu, oysters, a curated wine selection, classic cocktails as well as happy hour specials Tuesday through Thursday. We are centrally located and blocks from TD place.

Very different experience than expected. I didn’t feel like the food was made with care (meat in my ragu was cold). Usually have no problem with small but delicious portions and I don’t think the food is made to share but we were asked if we wanted to. Beautiful restaurant, though!

As my previous visits, spot on food, drinks and service. I like the vibe here. Food service business is not easy, these guys deserve our support! Next time you go, do like us and bring some one that will discover this gem!

Erling’s is an incredibly underrated restaurant! I can’t believe it doesn’t make it on more lists and awards. The menu changes all the time and I can’t believe honestly say I’ve never had a dish I didn’t like. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and always help us pick great wine (which is also well-priced.) Erling’s is our top choice for a date night, special occasion, or celebrating with friends and family. Highly recommend!

Lovely food. Great vegetarian options, and the chefs were willing to adapt my choices too. Really nice personalised checking in. Great wine list and really good value price per glass. The sharing size plays are great a portion size so you can try a little of everything. The most interesting place to eat in Ottawa 👏🏻

Food was great…creative and delicious dishes, BUT the portions for the price were ABSURB. $50 for a dish which allows a table of 4 to have one bite of short rib each is outrageous. Yes, it was tapas, so we expected small plates for sharing - but please be reasonable. We won’t return.

Thank you for your feedback. We're happy to hear you enjoyed the food and service. Regarding the price of the beef short rib, we understand it may have felt high. Our menu generally ranges from $18 to $32, but with rising costs—especially beef—the price of our dishes has increased. I recently paid $29 for four thin slices of short rib at Loblaws, and even at $45, the short rib dish results in a loss for us. We aim to provide quality food at fair prices, and we understand these are tough times. We’d appreciate the chance to discuss your concerns directly, as 3-star reviews impact us deeply.
