   Martini was terrible. Very loud ! Food was fair hoping for more.Service was on and off. This place is more of a bar atmosphere. NOT FINE DINNING. Wish them luck with all the fabulous Restaurants in Scottsdale

   First time at Fat Ox and won't be the last. Got there about 40 minutes early, had a drink at the bar (both fantastic), then had a great dining experience and server (Evan). Excellent menu.

   Our experience at The Fat Ox was amazing! Mark, our busboy was so polite and our sever Ethan was super friendly and knowledgeable and our Sommelier Jonah was spot on and picked just the right wine to go with our fantastic meal! With so many great places to dine in Scottsdale it’s hard to make a place a favorite or a repeat. BUT the next time we’re in Scottsdale, Fat Ox will be on our itinerary!

   My husband and I used as gift certificate toward a date night dinner. We were able to make an early reservation with short notice. We enjoyed the ambiance, although I was not a big fan of the music. Fortunately it was not so loud that we couldn’t hear ourselves talk. Our waitress Cindy was truly outstanding/awesome/exceptional/there are not enough superlative adjectives for her. The menu had an excellent selection. My husband had the scallops and I had the branzino, plus a pasta and vegetable selection. It was all delicious but too salty for me; the branzino was so salty I could barely eat it. In the future I will ask for no added salt to my food. What’s happened to the restaurants where salt and pepper was put at the table and one seasoned it to one’s own taste?

   A lot of the food was very well done. The pastas were a highlight. Service was a little less organized—waited quite a while to have our order taken, but then they tried to clear our plates a few times pretty soon after they’d been dropped

   We loved the atmosphere and food. The service was spotty at best. Our server never asked if we liked any of our dishes and we had to flag her down to order more drinks.
