   I've loved this place for years but they've gone WAY downhill. App: Herb Grilled Octopus Good flavour but for $28 it shouldn't be one TINY piece of octopus. Felt like a rip off 2 pastas: Saffron spaghetti. Barely had any of the proteins described and the sauce was a broken, oily mess Rosso Creste Di Gallo. Delicious but also the sauce was a broken oily mess Main course: Short Rib alla Vaccinara. The meat had barely any flavour although tender. Probably less than 1 FL oz of the celery root purée which was a huge disappointment. Meat seemed as it was supposed to be seared but I'd say it was more of a char. Dessert: Ordered tiramisu, they brought the passionfruit tarte on accident. The incident was quickly corrected. Tiramisu lacked flavour and the texture was very odd. The chocolate on the bottom layer seemed of poor quality as it was greasy. I'm glad they brought the passionfruit tarte on accident as it was a much more enjoyable dessert. Works best when all the elements are combined because the tarte on its own had a chalky texture, almost as if agar agar was used in excess I've dined here several times in the past 7 years and the past 2 times I have watched the decline in quality. This visit last night has (quite sadly) assisted me in the conclusion of decision to no longer be a patron of this establishment. Alongside the food we ordered 1 cocktail, 1 beer, 1 neat Havana club rum ($21 for a shot out of a $30 bottle), and a cappuccino with dessert. Grand total after tip came out to $242.56USD Absolute shame because I would've once said dining here is worth the money you spend. No longer can such a statement can be supported.

   Absolutely loved everything about eating at Fax Ox. Highly recommend dining there.

   The service was the primary issue that ruined our experience. All the food and beverages were great, it just took forever to get them. Had tables near us who sat down 30 minutes after we did, and were ordering desserts while we were waiting on entrees. Waiter would just disappear. Had to ask for items multiple times. Again, just ruined the whole experience.

   We had a great time at dinner. We loved the food, perfect portions to get to try many things. They even helped us celebrate my friend’s birthday with a special gelato! Thanks for a wonderful evening!

   We have always enjoyed our meals at Fat Ox, but not sure what's going on these days. We ordered appetizers and got them in good time. Then we waited for 45 minutes for our entrees. The server came back once to tell us we'd get them soon, then never returned. Not a good idea. After 45 minutes we said we wanted our check and would pay for what we'd already had. The server went and got the manager who was very apologetic and wouldn't let us pay for our appetizers. He gave us his card and encouraged us to return and he would do everything he could to make up for it. That was nice and I applaud his efforts, but it didn't really save our night. That server clearly didn't do his job, he could have been more attentive and pushed the kitchen, and all would have been well.. Maybe they don't pay enough to get good servers? Don't know.

   Fantastic food,wine and service. Sat outside on a beautiful night. I had the Filet which was outstanding. My lady had branzino and that was superb.
