Located in one of Victoria's oldest buildings, Ferris' Upstairs Seafood And Oyster Bar presents deeply coloured wooden floors and rich brick walls accented by candlelight.

Featuring the best in fresh seafood from our local waters, and premium steaks from Alberta. It's a great place to lounge and enjoy what Vancouver Island has to offer. Small plates and large, our menu changes weekly based on the best in available produce and season.

We boast an extensive wine list from Europe, California and Canada. Six rotating craft beers on tap and carefully curated cocktails featuring local spirits and house made ingredients.

Seafood, meat, vegetarian and vegan options available. Kids welcome.

Located in the heart of downtown Victoria. Regularly named one of the best seafood restaurants in town, we offer a romantic setting perfect for date nights, special occasions and casual dinners. Tapas available from our neighbouring tapas bar Perro Negro on the weekends.

Unfortunately my last couple a visits have not been very good. food quality seems to have been going downhill, the service is still really good and restaurant is nice but overall the experience is not as good as it used to be.

Best oysters in town, and these Port Hardy ones were firm, flavourful and good sized. The fried smelt were unique and excellent, something different to enjoy. Only downside was the roasted zaatar squash. It came out as a sloppy salad with a lot of mushy feta (I think), overly big chunks of arugula (I think) and only a few small bits of squash. The squash had no roasted texture or flavour. After a great start I didnt want to make a fuss, but it did not come up to the menu description or a pleasant surprise. Still my favourite Vic hangout, just hope they fix the squash.

My only complaint is that the server tells you that you only have 2 hours to complete your meal, which is more than enough, but does not help one relax. I realize that profits are realized through turnover, but still, let's adapt the European way of dining and relax.

We went there for a birthday dinner and it was absolutely fantastic. The people around us were friendly. The service was amazing. The food was incredible. I will definitely be going back.

The food is incredible. The fried smelt appy was sooo good, the seafood ceasar had balanced flavour and excellent garnishes, and the dine-around menu was so delicious that it's ridiculous.

Lovely food and good wine. The only thing that kept the fifth star off was the very cold room. People had their parkas on for the whole meal. Not sure why that’s the case but it did distract from the pleasure of the excellent dinner.

Overall this was a good experience at Ferris Upstairs Oyster Bar. The space is lovely. Nice menu with lots to choose from. Menu celebrates and features seafood but there are other diverse options, too. Service was good. Nice wine list. Food was overall very good.

We had our new year’s eve dinner there. The food with the four course dinner had a lot of choices and tasty. The service, especially our server was excellent and attentive. We will definitely come back for more from Vancouver.

Food was ok but this was a preset menu and the item we were most interested in when we booked was no longer on the menu when we got there. Serice started out horribly (ie ignored for 15 minutes) but recovered thru the rest of the meal. Probably a unique experience for us but in a town with so many dining options small misses can have big impact.
