Field & Tides, located in Houston’s historic Heights neighborhood features an open canvas menu that reflects Executive Chef Travis Lenig’s culinary experiences. Chef Lenig’s roots stem from his love for many different types of cuisine such as Southern, Italian, French and Asian. “Field” is represented by locally sourced vegetables, pork, poultry, beef and game, while “Tides” is seafood that is locally sourced as well, with an emphasis on the Gulf. The upscale casual restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily with brunch served on Saturday and Sunday. Patrons can enjoy a spacious patio for outdoor dining, as well as a separate private dining room available to rent for all your special occasion needs.

Service was impeccable. A member of our party had Celiac and this restaurant provded a safe environment for her. Food was fantastic. We'll be back.

I always enjoy Field & Tides. Today, I introduced a friend to the restaurant. We were there for lunch and ordered the Brussels sprouts & fried oysters for our first course. Our main consisted of the jerk sandwich and the beet salad. Both were delicious and my friend now wants to introduce her hubby to the place. Thanks F&T!!!!

The She Crab Soup was not warmed up well. The fries that came with my sandwich tasted fishy…as if they were fried in the same oil as the fried oysters.

Excellent food and service. We highly recommend. There were 6 of us and all of us loved our food. Our waiter was extraordinary. He was delightful. We will be back!

I have eaten here many times and it’s one of my favorites. The food and service are consistently good and it has a great and friendly atmosphere. However the prices keep going up. A simple weekday dinner with no appetizers, a split salad and one cocktail was nearly $80. This won’t be a place for impromptu dinners for me anymore.

Sadly, our order got shelved behind a large party that was at the restaurant the evening we were there and it took an excessively long time for our entree service. Service staff needed to be more attentive and should have managed the tables better.
