   Great restaurant and great food, unfortunately our reservation wasn’t honored. They basically said it didn’t matter that we made reservations and made us stand in line. Was kind of weird

   Did not honor our reservation. Was told to get in line with everyone else. Hostess stand doesn't have any electronics. I don't think they can process OpenTable reservations and should be removed from the site.

   We had a reservation through open table at 4 pm. We arrived and told the hostess we had a reservation. She said doesn’t matter, just get in line. It was very confusing and unorganized. When I reiterated that our reservation was through open table, she said they never should have taken our reservation! So we waited in line and finally got seated at 4:20, in the bar not the restaurant. Then it was another 10 minutes until someone came up to us and said your waitress will be here shortly. After another 5 minutes, she took our drink order. 2o minutes later, our food order. Never offered us another drink or to refill waters, which were empty. After another 30 min, we flagged her down and ordered another drink and she said our food would be right out. After another 15 minutes she brought out everyone’s food except for mine and she said they are making your sushi right now. After having ordered it 50 minutes ago, I couldn’t believe they were just now making it. Other tables around us with other waitresses got drinks, appetizers and their food and were paying even though they got there long after us. I was disappointed in the sushi, way too much rice not enough filing. My friend’s stuffed mushrooms were just warm not hot. The guys got pasta which they liked. My husband ordered Stoll vodka on the rocks with olives and we aren’t sure what he got but it was something with a lime. And his friend’s beer was warm-the waitress offered to bring him a glass of ice! Then my husband ordered a Corona with lime and it was brought without a lime and she said they were out of limes. This was a bad experience and maybe our waitress was new, but this is unacceptable. Plus they add an automatic 18% gratuity (4 people) which is normally fine, but we felt it was a rip off for the quality of service. We will not be back.

   The food was excellent and was brought out quickly. We had the Louisanna Crawfish boil which was 10/10. We also ordered the Aligator Voodoo bites and the Coconut Shrimp, and both of those dishes were delicious as well. We will definitely be back again.

   Had red beans and rice lunch with excellent service. At a nice table. Restaurant was clean, I was sat immediately. Perfect

   Excellent food, terrible service. Original waiter was fine but a waitress took over and she was terrible, forgot to bring items requested, never checked on us and incredibly slow. The place was not crowded.

   Sushi was very good. Gumbo & chowder ok, wouldn't get again. Service was decent, but left to many dirty plates behind with table visits. Big pet peeve. Hostesses were very friendly. The live music was Awesome! The restaurant itself is beautiful.

    We have been going to Fishbones for over 20 years. The food is always good and typically, the service is top-notch as well. This time, the restaurant was very crowded, and it was clear that our server was simply overbooked. She was a very nice young lady and was very willing to please, but she just had too many table (some with large parties). I fully empathize with how hard it is to find quality employees, but the wait time (for the food and drinks) was so much more than we typically experience. Fishbones is always on our list, and we will continue to go there, but I hope that there can be some improvement in the experience. The food was four stars: jambalaya, salmon, and shrimp we all prepared properly and again; the server was very nice. I would still recommend Fishbones as a place to dine in Detroit, but just be aware that if it is crowded, the wait time might be substantial.
