FKABAM is a place for fun. We take our food seriously, but not ourselves. Tables are close together, and the atmosphere is loud and vibrant. Reservations are available four weeks in advance for parties of 1 to 4 guests. For parties larger than this, please email info@blackaxemangal.com

We keep a few spaces free for walk-ins as first come first served.

We serve an A La Carte menu which is published on our Instagram @fkablackaxemangal. Limited numbers of new and old fave dishes will be available to add to your meal each night. We also have options for vegetarian/vegan diners available upon request as well as some Gluten Free options- unfortunately we cannot cater for soy allergies.

Please note our cancellation policy and do not ask us to waiver fees if you forget to cancel within the time frame.

Another banging experience. The atmosphere, the staff, and obviously the food all make this my favorite restaurant in London.

I was extremely disappointed by FKABAM. 9 years ago it was amazing, and shockingly good value. Now all that remains are a couple of the stand out flat breads, although twice the price. And a hideous, overly promoted (see social media) bone marrow dish that is half the size than on media, one shin instead of two, it is £10 more, at £34 I felt that I was being made fun of. I tasted it, it was bland with no bite, a dull bit of bread and an overly vinegary salad. I might dive in here for the lamb offal or the cod's roe flat bread but I think that its days of leading anywhere interesting are over. The music was 80s pop, not heavy metal. There goes the neighbourhood.

Food is generally good and inventive, but the price is completely out of sync with what it is. We really enjoyed the pork dishes and the bone marrow but they cost as if they were prime rib steak. The aubergine laksa was mediocre at best. To top it off we had to for some reason fight to get a normal chair as opposed to a very uncomfortable stool even though all other tables had chairs

Always always killing it. Had the special - banh mi flat bread - and the deconstructed Big Mac. Both so good, banh mi was the star of the show! Be back soon!

I had an awful experience at FKABM, and to make matters worse, they essentially stole £40 from me. My partner and I showed up for our reservation on 11/01/2025 but were seated at an uncomfortable, claustrophobic table by a dark wall. We raised our concerns with the waitress, but she was dismissive and unhelpful, offering no alternative. Feeling completely unwelcome, we agreed to leave, after the waitress said its fine and the table will be taken quickly by someone else as its Saturday night. They wished us a good night, only to later discover they charged us a £40 “no-show” fee. This is utterly unacceptable, especially since we showed up, sat down, and communicated directly with their staff. I have reached out to them about this, but they have completely ignored my messages and don’t even provide a phone number to address complaints. It feels like they took my money and ran. Avoid this place unless you’re okay with being treated poorly and potentially scammed out of your money.

I absolutely love this place and my first experience of the Brunch today certainly didn't disappoint. If you're looking for intimate and serene fine dining then this is not the place for you but if you want great tasting food, innovative food in a rocking environment with great staff then get here as soon as you can. My wife always says she feels like she is on holiday when we eat here, it's the kind of buzzing place that you get on holiday that you really enjoy the whole experience and that is what FKABAM encompasses. The staff are amazing, always friendly and with a smile on their faces The food is taste sensation after taste sensation; the Vietnamese scrambled eggs for brunch today were asian inspired scrambled eggs with a flatbread replacing the toast and just wow. Sure there will be things you may not like as much, today I discovered I wasn't such a fan of Szechuan pepper but isn't that part of your food education and the experience though I did discover beetroot and eel after a shot of vodka and shot of beetroot juice is great. Yes, we are probably at the more senior end of the age range; most there today could be our kids or maybe even grand kids but that's what makes it a nice vibe; it's just fun. This place just makes me smile every time we go; my wife has to drag me to other places to try when we are in London otherwise I'd be here every time. And as I am sure others would say, it can be loud, never been to a restaurant before that played Highway to Hell, but for me FKABAM is more Highway to Nirvana. Thanks to the team there, you make my day every time I come.

The food is excellent. The flavours are wonderful, and the kitchen seems to prepare the food with real care. BUT the ambiance is insane. The music is deafening. As loud as a night club. I don’t mind music, but I like to hear what my fellow diners are saying. And it is HOT. It’s a small restaurant with a gigantic oven in the corner. So it’s uncomfortably warm. The heat combined with the music made me feel like I was in a CIA sensory deprivation torture room. This ruined it for me, in afraid.
