Welcome to Floris at VMFA!

~ We've expanded our menu to offer a la carte offerings each day from 2:30 - 4:00pm, no reservations needed~

Our high tea menu and tea service is offered daily from 11:30 am - 2:30pm priced at $45 per guest, not inclusive of tax and service. We kindly require each guest's participation.

Floris invites you to immerse yourself in a culturally enriching tearoom experience at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of the Robins Sculpture Garden, Floris is a community gathering space located in VMFA’s Pauley Center.

Take a mid-day escape and indulge in delightful pleasures for the palate, including expertly crafted blends from guest tea makers. Chef Chainey Kuykendall’s use of fresh ingredients from local vendors and importers further enhances Floris’s celebration of cultures and community.

Typical English tea in a lovely setting. Scones, tea cakes, small quiches and tea sandwiches in a lovely setting.

This was a great experience. All of the food was unique and delicious and the tea was as well. The server was knowledgeable and helping in making tea selections. The servers were also helpful with dietary and allergy restrictions. The room decor was very nice and felt like a high tea. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely setting but very mediocre food plus it's costly for what you get. The quality is just not there - cold food, stale bread, cold tea, and some items plainly tasteless. It's a shame

I waited a full year to get a reservation and was delighted with my experience. To my surprise the set-up was slightly different from pictures I have seen in magazines & online. Little disappoint no sofa , chairs or fire. The rooms noise level was moderate until several large parties arrived then it began to be very noisy. I had inquired about moving to another table when I first arrived and my request was quickly turned down. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my time and highly recommend.

Suggest use high tea with fancy tea cups and plates scones cold flowers missing. Great service

Food was a little dry, but overall delicious. The menu was seasonal & very creative. Tea was spot on. Highly recommend Shenandoah Blue!
