The experience was very nice. Live music great service and food was delicious. Asked the waiter and hostess on there food choices and they were 100% spot on with what they told us about.

I've been to the Flying Pig a few times and thought the food and ambience were good. Last night was a different experience. The place was packed with 15-20 people waiting in the entry way the entire time we were there. However they had the upstairs closed and were still taking reservations. I made my reservation less than an hour before we got there and there were still reservations for every single time slot. Based on how understaffed and busy they were, they should have shut that off. Our waitress was one of only 2 bartenders (not her fault). The bar was doing insane service and the bartender should not have been waiting on tables. I had to ask a manager for service because nobody came over to us. I ordered an entree that needed clarification from the chef on how it was prepared because the waitress seemed to think I wasn't interpreting it correctly. Waitress said she would ask. Apparently she didn't because the entree came out exactly how I told her I wouldn't want it and would be willing to order something different if. Since we had already waited 1 hour from the time we were seated until we got our food I just opted not to order anything else. They either needed more help or they needed to seat less people at a time and turn off their reservations. It felt chaotic in there.

We were seated upstairs where it’s quieter that was very thoughtful but upon arriving you are met with extreme bright lights, absolutely no atmosphere. Our server “Jess” was exceptional throughout our entire dinner. The meal on the other hand was so-so at best. The appetizers arrived wings no vegetables as sides which was rectified upon bringing it up to our server, the pork taco was flavourless. For our main course I had the steak frites…they totally missed the mark on this dish, the steak was mostly fat bits and no spices no taste. My husband had the curry dish but lacked heat. On the menu they promoted the carrot cake so we decided to have it…this was store bought and plain “god awful”. We were very disappointed with the overall of this restaurant.We were just happy that Jess was so pleasant.
