   While the service was great and Inn beautiful, we were extremely disappointed in the food. Two of the appetizers were very bland with an odd texture and the other two were very overwhelming with a strange mixture of vegetables (also very bland). Two of our entrées had peculiar sauces that left an immediate unpleasant aftertaste while the other two had soggy buns for the sandwiches. In all of our fine dining experiences, the quality and taste at the Fogo Inn Restaurant has been the most disappointing. We had been looking forward to going there for quite some time but in all honesty, it was an extremely subpar dining experience and I wouldn’t recommend the food to anyone. Thankfully the ambience was beautiful. A very, very disappointing $300 plus spent.

   Had a wonderful lunch at the fogo inn! The food is extremely tasty I will visit again for sure! Thanks to all of you for a great experience!

   Hi I loved the lunch, the food is exceptional with all the vegan options being appreciated. Except being vegan didn't really give us any options for dessert so we didn't get a choice of all those delicious looking options on the cart except for some stewed apples 🍎 !!! Also we arrived a little earlier than our reservation time and were not allowed to walk around the inn on the outside at all, which we were really looking forward to, also all the tours of the inn were booked so we were very disappointed to not get on one of those. Perhaps when you book for lunch they can let you know about the tour and how it needs to be booked in advance! We felt a little put off at the gate area about all this because even though we arrived a little early, they couldn't put us on a tour and we had to leave the premises or parking lot and then come back an hour and a half later!

   You really shouldn't visit Fogo Island without dining at the Inn at least once! It's a magical experience and so much more than just a meal.

   Wonderful meal in a stunning setting! Absolutely must eat here when on Fogo Island even if you’re not staying at the Inn.

   Absolutely stellar lunch! The salads and Cod were amazing and we had the best seat in the house for a stunning view. Staff were extremely courteous, helpful and delightful. It was our 40th anniversary for Maggi and I. Thank you for making it a very memorable experience. Kindly, Chris & Maggi

   We were only able to reserve a table as of 6PM but in the end this was perfect as they gave us the corner table with the best view and took amazing care of us. Service was as expected and just spot on. Food was amazing and we were lucky they had Moose on the menu that day, made our entire Fogo Island experience complete.

   Food was good but we expected a little bit more 'recherche culinaire", fancyness than that, after all we have heard about the food in FOGO Island Inn. The wine suggestion was perfect and the service in french was very appreciated.

    We went enjoyed a fantastic lunch. There is a small salad bar to begin and then an appetizer, main and dessert. Such an experience to visit Fogo Island Inn. Definitely easy to see why it is consistently rated so highly! Our OpenTable reservation said the dress was "smart casual" however all the other guests who dined with us (and seem to have been staying at the Inn) were dressed quite casually. Most in jeans and running shoes. I think if that is acceptable then you should remove the "smart casual" from your booking confirmation.
