Owned by Chef Allen Hess, FORC brings farm to table in the heart of Waimea. FORC showcases a farm to table aspect by bringing fresh harvests from Farmers, the Ocean and Ranchers. By changing our menu seasonally, we are able to get creative with what Hawai’i has to offer us. Local style brunch items like our FORC signature sandwich, brown butter banana pancakes and our housemade bacon. Hearty seasonal dinner dishes like our Big Island grass fed beef, whole roasted fish, and Chef’s Hawaiian Meal. There are vegetarian, paleo and gluten free options too. Indulge more with special menus like happy hour and holiday menus. Sip on our award winning cocktails or sit down and soak in the best dining atmosphere.

                                          We really enjoyed our experience & food: lamb two-ways, chef's choice, beet salad, their famous bacon (coincidentally in the shape of Kamehameha) & Polynesian bread and goat tacos. Nanea was our server- she did great despite the busy rush.

                                          We came in with no expectations and was blown away by the service, the ambiance, and the food! Our lovely waitress was very attentive and checked on us frequently but not excessively. From the starters and drinks to dinner and our dessert - which I made sure to fit in, all were perfectly portioned. We can't wait to return again for the great hospitality and to try the other dishes!

                                          We ate at FORC twice during our visit. The servers were very pleasant and attentive, the food fresh and delicious.

                                          We have been to this restaurant several times. This time was Valentine’s Day with their pre-fix menu. Service was horrible. It took at least 15 minutes to be asked for our drink selection and another to receive them. My glass of wine was literately shoved on the table, practically tittering on the corner, ready to fall. As usual all our dishes were fabulous. My one complaint is my husband got the second course mushroom risotto and I received the oysters. The plate of oyster had only 2. So I was done in moments and I sat and watched my husband eat his risotto, not fun. We waited an incredibly long time between each course which was also not pleasant. In total, we spent close to 2 hours there.

                                          Running a skeleton crew as it seems. Server took a long time to get our table started, took long to take orders, took long to check on us, took long for the food, took long to get water refilled. I think I was generous with my ratings despite our experience. Food was tasty but did come out cold, maybe due to lack of food runners/help. I live in south kona so is it worth the drive? I would say no. But if i was in the area for another reason, i would definitely go back.

                                          We decided to try FORC for the First time, tonight- a Thursday night. It was quite busy, but service did not miss a beat. We had lamb chops and the Surf & Turf- both done perfectly and delicious. We toped off the meal by sharing the macadamia nut tart with vanilla ice cream. We would highly recommend.
