Horsforth-born Matt Healy, known from MasterChef: The Professionals, is excited to announce he’s expanding with a new restaurant in Ilkley while continuing his work in Horsforth.

Matt’s ‘food to swear by’ brand has become a favourite in the Leeds dining scene, earning recognition with a 2024Michelin Plate for the 3rd consecutive year and a mention in The Good Food Guide. Now, he's bringing the same style of modern British cooking to Ilkley.

MasterChef judge Marcus Wareing once described Matt’s sauces as “some of the best he had ever tasted,” and Jay Rayner’s review in The Guardian simply stated, “Bloody hell, that’s good” (though not in those exact words).

With this new Ilkley opening, Matt and his experienced team are looking forward to serving up great food and service, both in Ilkley and back home in Horsforth.

We had another wonderful visit! Food, service and atmosphere was absolutely amazing!

It was our first time at Forde and we went for an early evening meal with friends. The food was decent overall. What was not was being reminded three times during the course of being there about how much time we had left before the table was required again, including being told “if you want desert you need to order it now as you won’t have time”. Really spoiled the experience given that we ordered promptly so were not delaying anything from our side. Shame as we enjoyed the food and would recommend more highly otherwise.

The food was very tasty especially the Pig Cheek. All in all very good and worth a visit.

Excellent evening eating at this new restaurant in Ilkley! Great menu of delicious small plates, perfect for sharing. Good service and lovely ambience-my only comment would be more choice of desserts would be great!

Great service. They double checked all items for allergies and tweaked things to ensure they were gluten and dairy free. Food was delicious and a nice ambience too.

We had a wonderful evening at Forde ilkley yesterday. The food was outstanding, really imaginative and well cooked, and the atmosphere was great. Special mention to the staff who were all very friendly and got on well with each other, really nice atmosphere. It was a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with attentive staff.

A great addition to Ilkley, wonderful food and great service. Accommodated my Gluten Free diet with no fuss. Great cocktails too!

Great new edition to Ilkley food scene. Service was good and waiting staff knowledgeable of the food and drinks. Small plate style food with generous portions and good price point. The background music was a little noisy for a lunchtime from the older ones in our party but it was Christmas and lots off hard services. They did turn down the music on request which was appreciated. Will be back.
