Drawing inspiration from the region’s history and natural surroundings, the 156-seat freestanding restaurant reflects elemental themes of wood, water, iron, and fire, reminiscent of the carriage houses and blacksmith shops that once dotted the landscape. The centerpiece of Forge & Vine is an eight-foot wood fired grill and open kitchen with counter seating where guests can enjoy dinner while interacting with the chef. Welcoming residents as well as visitors to the area, Forge & Vine offers a strong sense of place with a design sensibility that brings in the outside with floor to ceiling windows offering breathtaking pastoral views of Gibbett Hill. The restaurant boasts spacious and casual bar with service inside and out and features classic and comfortable cuisine sourced from the best produce, seafood, and meats that New England offers.

Great dinner as usual. The noise didn't bother us. It was loud but it was also New years Eve. Everyone was having a good time.The food was amazing. Drinks were good too. Never had a bad experience at Forge and Vine. See you again in 2025!

We did have to wait for our table but understand it was busy. Our meals were fantastic. Only suggestion is to lighten up on the salt. 3 of us had the filet and the gravy was exceptionally salty

Typically the best but this was a very off night for NYE — and everything was off, esp the food. Disappointed.

Amazing New Year’s Eve meal! The Milanese and the halibut were perfect! Our server, Lauren, was welcoming, attentive and kind! Great way to finish 2024…thank you, Forge and Vine!

Although we had excellent service, we did not like sitting in the side room (porch?) as much as the other areas of the restaurant. The Brussels sprouts and poutine appetizers were very good. The salmon and burger (came with a ton of crispy fries) were tasty but the cauliflower steak was not cooked enough and I did not care for the outside coating. The draft Sauvignon Blanc was lovely, btw, and we will be back another time.

Our experience at Forge and Vine is always exceptional and beautiful ambience. You have exceptional food, superior service, and friendliness, when it comes to the people who greet you at the front door to all staff I have ever come across over numerous visits.

Our experience was utterly lackluster and deeply disappointing … inattentive, distracted service, an “extra dry” martini that was undrinkable (tasted like an entire jar of olive brine had been poured into it), and a level of noise in the first room where we were seated that made it impossible for our party of three even to hear each other. They did move us to another room, but, after that, I felt like we had been branded as being “difficult”, and the quality of service deteriorated. After sending back my martini, I waited close to 20 minutes for a glass of wine. The pork chop that I ordered “medium” was cooked VERY well done and was quite tasteless, and the mashed potatoes were salted to an almost inedible degree. At this point, we’d given up and just wanted to finish our meal and leave. An earlier visit had been very different, so I’m hoping that we caught them on an off night. But, on the basis of this experience, I don’t expect to return.
