The Austrian owner has poured her heart and soul into creating an atmosphere that is best described in one German word: gemütlich. The carefully chosen artifacts & candlelight combine to make this the perfect place for a romantic rendezvous, intimate rehearsal dinner or wedding party. According to owner Karin Derly, "We envisioned this as a place for people to create happy, lasting memories." We believe in providing a memorable experience that cannot be found anywhere else in Aspen and hope that our prices - most of them accommodated by Aspen standards- are justified by the overall experience. All of our Swiss cheeses are imported, Gruyère, Beaufort, Comté and Vecherin and it is prepared gluten free with a touch of white wine and our traditional Kirschwasser. Way too cramped. Uninviting atmosphere. Food was mid to okay. Not worth the price. The romantic vibe is completely ruined by the loud music, cramped seating, and party atmosphere.
