The Friars' Table is steeped in the Franciscan tradition of care and community.

Located in Cleveland's Playhouse Square James Beard Finalist Brandon Chrostowski brings a cuisine focusing on Monastic ingredients and techniques in a chic, curated setting. The Friars' Table features dishes including hearty soups and stews, seasonal salads, Salmon St. Celestine and braised lamb shoulder along with wine and cocktails highlighting simplicity and tradition.

The Friars' Table was uniquely founded by Brother Phillip Bernier of The Capuchin Ministries of Cleveland in partnership with Brandon Chrostowski of EDWINS Leadership and Restaurant Institute. The mission focus on serving those in our community working to improve life through cuisine and education.

Our dinner was delicious and we were able to easily attend our show at the playhouse after! They were able to accommodate my request to add chicken to my salad. I really enjoyed it! The menu is small but everything looks good! I would definitely return!

This was such a good dining experience. Great food, great service. The meal was wonderful and done in a timely fashion so you can make shows or get a nice meal afterwards in a timely manner.

Enjoyed a meal prior to a show at Playhouse Square with family. Menu is unique with something for everyone. I enjoyed perfectly cooked salmon with delicious sauce, others in the party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We were also visited by a friar expressing appreciation during our dinner. Service attentive and friendly. It was a tremendous pleasure to support this restaurant. Thank you!

loved the stew on this cold winter day. Dinner salad was fresh and dressing delightful. Nice to have another restaurant in the theatre district.

We had a wonderful dinner at the Friars table! This is the perfect place to go after seeing a play. The ambience is beautiful, the water sounds from the water feature were very soothing, and the food was absolutely delicious. The beef stew in a bread bowl was extremely good.

Fabulous restaurant! Another success by the owner of Edwin’s. Tasty food! We especially loved the smoked whitefish appetizer and the stewed fish!!! Our new dinner stop before a show at Playhouse Square!!

Had salmon, nothing on the plate but the fish. Everything else a separate charge. So the meal looked reasonably priced, but then vegetables and or starch is extra. Other dishes looked more appetizing, so I will probably go back.
