A little about us & the culture that has been created… Friedmans is a family run business, which operates locations throughout New York City. Friedmans was named after the famous economist Milton Friedman who popularized the phrase, “there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch”. This phrase has gone on to be used in science, economics, finance, statistics, technology, sports, & now food. However, to put it simply, “to get one thing we like, we usually have to give up another thing we like.” Our mantra is simple, “Eat good food” and this is what we strive to deliver to our guests. For us, it has two meanings. Firstly, eat food that tastes good. Secondly, be proud of the food you serve. We know where our food comes from. We communicate regularly with our farmers and are proud to serve antibiotic free meats & local vegetables. Our mission is for you to love, respect, & enjoy, not only the food you serve, but also the team you work with.

This was our first time at this Friedman’s location. We came for the gluten free Asian dishes and they were all delicious. Our waitress was great and doubled checked to make sure everything we ordered was also dairy free. It was a quiet Sunday AM and very enjoyable. Love that we can order allergy friendly options without compromising taste. We will definitely be back again soon.

As someone who is gluten intolerant, I was over the moon to have such a wide variety of items to choose from! All of the items were delicious that we ordered.

Nice lunch. Wide variety of options from brunch to dim sum to Asian to American sandwiches. Not a dedicated GF kitchen but very careful and conscious. Almost everything on the menu can be made or is naturally GF.

Food is great. Love the mix of Chinese menu and Western options. The service is minimal which we’re ok with. The low stars is due to terribly slow (over 30 minutes wait) on the Western food orders (we got turkey burger and roasted salmon). The Chinese food came out reasonably fast though.

Great service! The waiters and waitresses are attentive, food was food, the cheddar waffle was okay. Wish for more sauces for the waffle and sauces
