Who ever said that to eat vegan and earth friendly food you need to renounce the delicacies of traditional Italian cuisine?
Our Chef Alessandra D'Angelo moved to Australia from Sicily in 2009 and she has been working incessantly on vegetarian and vegan recipes since then.

At Funghi e Tartufo, she have turned plant-based food into something so delicious that you won't desire anything else!

In a converted 19th century warehouse in the heart of Melbourne CBD, Funghi e Tartufo – meaning Mushrooms and Truffle in honour of their signature dish – will offer you a unique experience leaving you breathless.

The inspiration is traditional Italian and the vision is a modern and earth friendly way to marry deliciousness with plant based food.

Amazing vegan Italian restaurant in vibrant hardware lane in the city. Everything was delicious and the service was spot on.

Being plant based for over 7 years, I have been wanting to get here for a while. Service was professional, prompt and friendly. Had arancini, carpaccio,calamari, pappardelle,chik’n casserole. To put it bluntly, everything was on point, from flavour to textures. I’ll be back very soon for the OG lasagna.

Amazing! Great size portions, wonderful atmosphere (energetic but not too noisy for a baby), friendly staff and delicious food. Would go back in a heart beat 😍

Food is such high standard. Non vegan’s wouldn’t know the calamari and chicken wasn’t vegan.

I am sorry but I had high expectations for this restaurant but was very disappointed. The food was lacking in flavour and without any flair. Very bland and poorly executed.

1 vegan 2 non vegans , food was delicious, tasty and well presented. Staff were amazing. Girls even sang Happy Birthday.

The food was exceptional. Was so happy with everything we ordered. Cannot wait to come back! Only thing missing was some music downstairs. It was nice that it was quiet but just some light background music would have really made it.

Amazing vegan food. Service was a little lacking, and coffee was absolutely terrible and a 20 minute wait (and $9 each!)

Favourite restaurant in Melbourne. Service is impeccable and the food is the most delicious I’ve had. Great place to go for a date night.
